Day 19: Favourite Gag Reel Moment

I love all the gag reel moments!!



Ok. This isn't specifically from a gag reel, but it is an outtake so I am totally going to use it. I have watched this over and over and over.

I absolutely love the end when Jensen tries to do the leg stretch and hurts himself. Then Jared comes in to help. I also love Jared power walking outside the window - and all Jensen's snide comments. And how damn flexible is Jared?! They both maintain straight faces, even when "Sam" asks "Dean" to help him stretch his groin. THESE MEN!!! \o/

And I pretty much love every moment in the gag reels. I love behind the scenes stuff so the gag reels are a constant joy. <333

When it comes to actual gag reel moments I think my favourite is from the S2 gag reel, namely the blooper from Heart, where Jensen and Jared are trying to get through the rock, paper & scissors scene. It's such an affectionate moment between them, from the easy way they touch to the way they're completely focussed on each other, it totally stands out to me. ♥

This was a classic in so many ways and I love the whole bunch of SPN cast and crew for it. Jensen staying as totally straightfaced Dean just running his lines while Jared arses about is just bloody wonderful. And of course I can't watch the real scene without sniggering now.

I'm a huge--HUGE--fan of outtakes. But I get a little cranky at stuff set up to film as fanservice--done with the gag reel firmly in mind. I'd rather have bloopers and screwups and uncontrolled giggles and falling-over than a "prank" somewhat scripted and directed because someone thinks the fans will think it's cute.

I'm...just grouchy that way, I guess. It's a failing.
