So this officially hits the top of my list as the most fun I've had making a vid. This presented a number of new challenges which I relished.

This vid really does show my age! Though not all TV shows are as ancient as me, so there's (hopefully) something for everyone. I've been wanting to do this for a while (ever since "Supernatural 5-0" and "Supernatural Dukes") and I took my time over this (for a change).

Special thanks to the lovely deirdre_c for her encouraging words and to my wonderful beta _sharvie_ whose eye for detail never ceases to amaze me (and keep me on my toes!). These gals helped give it the spit and polish it needed.

That was brilliant! I don't know nuthin' about SPN other than the squee on my flist, but I love the way you have recontextualized the show into multiple show-lets of differing genre, using both theme music and visual cues. (Like, I only recognized a few of the themes, not being a TV watcher, but I could instantly tell what type of show each was.)

Saw the recommendation for this on tvm's site and ran (not walked) to see it. What a great vid! You had me from "The Odd Couple"! Wonderful, skillfully done mix of clips and show themes -- even if you weren't sure of the show right off, the clips helped you make an educated guess (like on Buffy and Knight Rider). Kudos to you, Ash, for such an effort (and, like many, "Friends" teared me up and "Carry On, My Wayward Son" topped that!) You have such talent!

HOMG. I busted something giggling like a look throughout your vid. You, m'dear, have a created a vid that not only is chockful of our pretties doing what our pretties does best (eating, pranking, fighting, emo-ing and of course, watching TV), but makes one look back fondly of the TV shows that once ruled one's life.

The comedic elements would have fallen flat if not for your technical skills with your flawless editing and attention to detail. It has been ages since I enjoyed a vid so much.

Awesome! I've pimped it to friends, and I keep a tab open so I can play it randomly all through the day.

Aside from the content, which is warm and fuzzily familiar, the editing is both crisp and smooth, cutting on the perfect note, the perfect frame, crafting disparate audio and video into a seamless and inevitable-seeming whole. Really good work. This is my new affectionate fave SPN video. Does the word "George" mean anything to you?
