I forgot to mention the absolute best part of 7.21!!!
PERTH, AUSTRALIA!! \o/ Seriously. Castiel was at a greyhound race track in Australia - Cannington Greyhounds. Remarkable. I can't believe Dean actually knew where Perth was. I am impressed! Yay Dean for knowing where my home town was!
I am curious about that whole conversation now. Like many moments in that episode I suspect there's more to it than meets the eye (maybe!).
Meg: Yeah Castiel, it's me.
Dean: Cas? Where? Where is he?
Meg: Shut up.
Cas: I'll stop speaking. (hee, missed that the first time)
Meg: No. No Cas, you talk.
Cas: I'm in a place called Perth.
Meg: Perth?
Dean: Perth? As in Australia?
Meg: What dogs? He says he surrounded by unhappy dogs.
Cas: They're chasing a rabbit around... (can't make out the rest)
Meg: Ok. He's at a dog track in Perth.
Cas: Surrounded by large unhappy dogs.
Meg: Yeah, they're unhappy because the rabbit's fake.
FOUR MENTIONS!
I wonder why Ben chose a Perth greyhound racetrack (of all places!) for Cas to be?
I do love Meg's last line and it makes me wonder (yep - I have had some thinky!) if it's a reference to them chasing after something that's "fake". Or chasing around, like they did in this episode, after something that's unattainable. Overthinking?! Hee... probably. ;) But all that dialogue had to exist for a reason surely?!
We also got Meg being very caring toward Cas. Makes me wonder if there's genuine affection there or if she's faking it. I actually think she's genuinely cares for him (if demons can feel that level of affection). I suspect we were meant to think it was fake and when she met with those demons she was going to hand him over (I still can't figure why the demons would even want Cas...) but instead she didn't. Hmmm... no idea. No clue where they were going with that. Or if there's more to be seen in the future (no sure why though. Kinda feels irrelevant).
In the meantime, have a picture of Perth. It's a rather beautiful city. And Castiel went there! (And SHOW GAVE US A SHOUT OUT!).

(Funnily enough, when I spoke to Misha last year and said I was from WA he was all "Oh, so like near Perth?" so they all have a good grasp on our little corner of the globe. :D)
