Day 15: Episode that makes you cry
There is one episode that genuinely made me sob my wee heart out. I was so upset I took myself off to a park bench by the river to contemplate the meaning of it all. I was not, however, crying in response to something I probably should have been crying about (someone dying for example) but rather because I hated the episode so much it felt like a massive turning point. I actually thought my love affair with SPN was over.
That episode was Citizen Fang. I'm not going to rehash all those feelings now. They are here if you want to know what I am talking about. Perhaps a touch over dramatic, now that I look back - but wow. I've never reacted to TV like that before. I honestly thought it was time to say goodbye and man, the feels...:((. Luckily it was short lived and I found myself (mostly) in love again..:D
Now for eps that actually made me cry because...sadness!
Top of my list is Ellen and Jo's death in Abandon All Hope. I felt Ellen's anguish. Probably because I'm a mother of a girl it really hit home. Samantha and Alona gave stella performances and the moment was beautifully handled. Ellen's "kick it in the ass" also brings a tear knowing it was for the late Kim Manners.
Other moments that I might have had something in my eye: Bobby's death, Dean crying over Sam's dead body, Dean's death, Sam and Dean beating each other up in Levee Breaks, Dean recalling hell in Heaven and Hell, Dean throwing away the amulet (still in tears!!) and pretty much any time the boys cry.

I agree 100% with the rest of your choices, though.

Yes it makes perfect sense. I can't remember if I actually cried (though...um...I think I might have...) but whenever I think of it makes me want to bawl like a baby!

I think I that mix of happy and sad when Bobby was remembering Sam and Dean squabbling at the end of Death's Door. Happy to see the boys so happy and sad that Bobby was remembering that as he was dying...
For all its faults the show certainly knows how grab our hearts and squeeze them until they burst.

And I think this season will be worth sticking it out for. I have a good feeling...;)

Then Dean had to go and make a deal with Death to get Sam's soul back, the jerk.

I cried when Sam 'died' at the end of All Hell Breaks Loose Part I that scene was acted superbly and Dean's despair broke my heart :(, I also teared up during Sam's scene with young!John and Mary's scene with the boys in The Song Remains the Same. Swan Song is just one big blubbering mess for me as is Death's Door. I nearly but managed to stop myself from crying when Cas admitted he was suicidal in Hunteri Heroici

Or maybe I commented on a later post to the same effect. Anyway, I'm sending you retroactive love now! {{{{{}}}}}

*hugs* It still stings...

The sad thing is I am not sure if I'm back on board. When I couldn't get excited about the promo pics, I started to wonder if my love was totally dead. I guess I'll just have to see...

*fingers crossed* the love will be rekindled.

For me that episode at least gave Sam a chance to tell his side of the story and what happened to him while Dean was gone. S8 pretty much had zip in that area. (I've blocked out those flashbacks...)
