I know I've recced this before but that's not reason not to rec it again (and again and again). It's one of my absolutely fave fanvids of all time.

I was watching it just now (for reasons) and I like the way it could easily sit in S10. Dean in Hell, Sam trying to save him and becoming a monster to do so. And the beginning of the apocalypse. Adore the song. Adore the editing.

Thanks for that rec, I don't think I'd seen that one before. I especially loved the blurred bits over the credits at the end, for some reason. Very cool. And my god, I'd forgotten what an awesome voice Uriel had!

Glad you re-recced, I'd never seen this. It is really amazing, seeing SPN overlaid on top of the images of Hell from Constantine is brilliant. That movie and its themes jive so well with the feel of S4. And one can never go wrong using a song from Radiohead.

The footage from Constantine is indeed perfect for S4 SPN - I love the way she seamlessly works it in. I'm not usually a fan of heavily effected vids, but this is just done so well.

I agree, this is an amazing vid, one that goes on the list when I tell people what to watch to understand what "vidding" is and can express. Also, I love that with vidding it's possible for a song to mean such different things depending on who's vidding and in what fandom. There's a vid to this song in Stargate SG-1 fandom that gives such a different message, though still a fairly dark one.

Also, hello! I haven't really participated in fandom for the last year or two thanks to RL health issues. Looking forward to getting back into it now that we're in season 10 (currently catching up on season 9). I'll be getting back into podficcing and trying to actually post, but wanted to come wave hello in places where I used to turn up.

I actually love how songs can vary in their interpretations according how the vidder uses it - and uses the source.
