A while back a read a drabble" by Phx and while I was reading it I could picture it as a vid. So I thought I'd see what would happen if I actually tried to make what I was imagining.

I really liked the idea explored in this little fic. That in fact, the lessons Sam has learned from his family are the ones that guided him to his decision to join Ruby after his brother died.

It's a simple little vid, but I enjoyed the new challenge of vidding to written inspiration. Maybe it's a step toward vidding for Big Bang one year! *meep*

Oh Ash this video was just what I needed :) Just watched 5.03 and honestly I feel completely raw after it. This video was sad but gorgeous and still illustrates the core goodness of these two boys together. Loved it. Thanks for making and sharing.

Oh honey, this is just gorgeous.

Loved the colouring and focus effects but the clips you chose were just perfect to the story line and I adored the construct of the whole thing, just felt so melancholy and Sam's loss and decisions so profound.

Oh wow, that was amazing. You did a great job translating Phx's drabble into video form. I was already emotional after watching last night's episode, so this has left me with tears running down my face.

And this is exactly what I think Sammy was thinking when he got involved with Ruby. He was thinking about what he learned from John and Dean: you do whatever you have to for family.

Alas, still haven't seen any of the S5 eps, but I'm spoiled for everything, so I don't have to avoid my flist or anything drastic like that.

This week looks to be MUCH better at work. If I can just get through class prep and teaching for Monday, I should have a lot more time on my hands. YAY!

I particularly loved that first segment with John -- we got so little of him in the series but some of his actions spoke pretty loudly. And it's interesting to think that this is the advice Dean left Sam with, and yet his perspective in JtS is pretty different.

Thank you. I love using John in vids. He is so influential in the SPN 'verse, even though he's only appeared in a handful of episodes.

Yes the perspective change in JtS was very interesting - from both the boys. Though I know Dean wasn't leaving the advice that I have depicted in this vid. I wonder what kind of advice he would leave for Sam now....
