Remember when I told you that YouTube quit displaying where referrals came from? Well they didn't actually get rid of it. They just hid it.

• You need to go to the "Insight" for a particular video.
• In the left column find "Discovery" and select it.
• In the right column go down to the header "Discovery". Under that you'll find a drop-down menu. Click that and select Location of player when viewed".
• The charft underneath will change and the list beneath that will show where referrals came from.

That's how to tell how many hits you got from different web sites.

To change the range of dates change the slider at the top of the page for the dates you want.

Ooh - I just did this. Never checked insight before. Wow- there's a heap of stuff there. I like that it even shows you mobile phone hits...

I'll have to spend some time exploring YT a bit I think. I recently looked at all the rating stuff. Interesting. And pleasing I have to say. :)

This is how I know how many hits I get from the blog as opposed to how many come from LJ. It also shows the oddball links like all the Czech and Romanian hits I got on the Fringe Science vid.

Yeah. I'm not one for memes generally. But this one is super easy and kinda fun.

And my daughter is slowly but surely getting over it. I mean, I think that utter feeling of disappointment will stay with her for a very long while. But at least she's back to her happy self. That was just awful watching her go through that....
