I thought it was best to make a blanket statement about it. I've noticed a lot of my flist worrying about such a thing happening. And I can understand why...
Now I feel like I've missed something. *o* Has/Does that (posting to Facebook) happen alot, and is that a bad thing? Just curious.
I,m on both, though I'm rarely on them, and I have never linked anything fanmade to them. I didn't really know how to, though I see that you can do it by checking a box now.
I know people link fanvids on Twitter, and I've found some wonderful vids that way. I remember one of your vids being linked/recced on Twitter (I think it was 9 to 5), thinking that was so cool, and a great way to introduce new people to the wonderfulness of ash48 vids. I'm not sure why anyone would link a comment. :/ That would just seem so random to suddenly be reading a comment about something and having no clue what the comment was about.
LJ has just introduced the ability to cross post when posting to LJ. Including comments. (You'll see the check boxes at the bottom of your comment box).
A lot peeps do stuff one LJ (write porn for example), that they would rather not have shared outside of LJ.
I don't mind my vids being shared (at all!) *g*, but I wouldn't want them linked from my LJ. YT is ok. In fact it's a great way for a vid to get around.
I keep my RL indenity private. I wouldn't want any of my students stumbling across some of the stuff I do.
I think it's made a lot of people nervous. So I thought I'd state that everything I see here is safe with me. :)
I absolutely won't be doing ANY cross-posting either! What a nuisance! Dean says "Grrr" ... I was worried LJ could cross-post without my permission, but I don't think so. You actually have to click that little box, right?
Absolutely no cross posting ever from me - no posts and never, ever any comment made on other people's private spaces - flaming nora, that's rude to allow that to happen.
I agree it's rude. I don't know why they'd think we would want the stuff we do here posted elsewhere. Especially private posts and comments. (Not that I think anyone would do it, but the ability is there so I can understand people being wary of it).
LJ is made of fail by doing this. I do have a FB account and if I wanted my LJ spilling over to FB I would have done it already but there's a reason I didn't. :\

I still don't even understand why anyone would want to, but I'm not going to. My FB/Twitter's are totally diff and separate from LJ.

And FB and LJ are such different "spaces" that I imagine most people keep them separate.
