Wandering in after a night out...

So yay! Perth meet up happened and it was great. The venue was fab - we had our own private cinema. \o/ We watched the boys on the big (very big!) screen. AND watched some fanvids... I have to say, seeing your own work (and work of others) on a big screen was kinda special. :)

We watched the pilot and we all laughed out loud as soon as Jared spoke. Honestly, both boys voices were at least an octave higher when S1 started. So wonderful to watch the boys being, well...boys. Snarky!Dean, bitchface!Sam... "bitch", "jerk", "no chick flick moments", "driver picks the music"... it's all there. <333

We then watched "Mystery Spot". What an awesome episode. So heart breaky, but funny too. Then we watched "The End" and "Changing Channels". "The End" still floors me. Incredible episode. And even more distressing knowing what actually does happen in the end. *sniff* We weren't allowed to show eps that hadn't aired in Aus, so couldn't watch any later ones from season 5. Which is probably a good thing because I may just have cried. A bit.

My back is feeling heaps better. I think a night out was just what the doctor ordered. :D

And god, their voices in the pilot were hilarious. I kinda want to go back through the eps and find out when Dean started to get his Batman voice now.

The saddest thing is seeing that cheeky smile of Dean's. We just don't see that any more... boy is too broken for smiles. :(

It was indeed a great night! I was very impressed with the picture and sound quality and will definitely be going back there for more. I think your 9 to 5 vid went down the best - would have loved to watch some more vids.

haitchem is already planning on having a True Blood birthday there so let me know if you're interested in that - won't be till October holidays probably.

The trip down memory lane was a fantastic idea and you're right watching any further into Season 5 would have undoubtedly caused tears.

Thanks for organizing such a great night. Both my friend and I had a wonderful time and it was fantastic meeting so many other local fans and chatting about the boys and the show we all love.

Would definitely love to do it again sometime.

Yeah - we had a really nice time. And seeing the Pilot again... *sniff*, made me think about how much "easier" things were back then. But seeing a cocky, confident Dean... made me realise just how far he's taken his character since then.
