Notes:
There's no denying that the stuff fans do because of this show blows me away. When I heard this song recently I loved that someone would write a song about the episode. My muse bashed me over the head and I needed to had visuals to the words.
On top of that, I was chatting with the lovelyel1ie and was reminded of the song "The French Mistake" which appears at the end of Blazing Saddles. There's a twofold meaning in using that as the title to the episode - the film Blazing Saddles ends by breaking (well, shattering) the 4th wall and apparently the term "French Mistake" can mean "When an otherwise straight male is persuaded to, or on a whim in the heat of the moment, engages in a homosexual act of which he later regrets and is ashamed. (from here). It's been suggested that the reason Jared and Jensen weren't talking in this episode is because of this. (which I kinda love...)
Anyway... the little bit at the end is just me playing a little with this idea. Though somewhat subtly.

And you know, fandom may be all sorts of crazy at times but mostly it's full of awesome. I haven't ever made a vid to an original song so it was nice to do something different.

If you do watch it, let me know what you think.
And you mentioned another SPN vid? Be sure to keep me informed. I'm not a huge Dr Who fan I have to say. I mean, I don't mind it but I don't fall over it. Which is probably just as well with all the falling over I do on this show.

Date: 2011-03-06 03:19 am (UTC)But you know..there has to be a Dr. Who fandom out there? Are you tapping into that? As in posting to Dr. Who fan sites etc. I have no idea what's here on LJ but there must be something that's equivalent to what goes on for SPN.
But yay for painting. There's also a huge amount of fandom art around as well. Not sure if that takes your fancy though. Original artwork is probably one of my all time favs things to look at.
It would be a shame to see you not vid again (or for a while)... but if you're not getting the satisfaction out of it I can understand. :(
