Two posts in one night... must be that glass of wine.. *g*
I saw this meme around the place last week and it's an easy one.
It's aimed for lurkers... BUT... I like that it's for non lurkers also...
It goes like this:
Today (well, last week I think..) has been declared lurker amnesty day! Have you read me but never commented? Do you surf by occasionally? Here for the fic or vids? Say hello. You are under no obligation to ever comment or delurk again, but here's a chance to do so in a post just for that.
Or if you’re here and we haven’t spoken in a while and you want to catch up or just say, “Hi”
I’m also doing a TWIST. Please choose from the following three things to share with me. Or all of them!
1. If there was one thing you could change about the world what would it be?
2. If money was no object what would be your ideal holiday?
3. What have you done that has made you proud of yourself?
Me first...
1. Reduce the ridiculous about of waste in the world.
2. Tropical island holiday. Crystal blue water, white sand, serenity and full body massages whenever needed. *g*
3. If you know me (or seen my posts on the subject) , you know what that is for me. (achieving set goals if you haven't...)
Ok. Your turn. I really am interested to know this stuff from you guys - even if it's just one. So go!! De-lurk... I honest to god, won't bite. Or just pop in and say hi..... <33

Date: 2011-03-11 02:07 pm (UTC)1. If there was one thing you could change about the world what would it be?
I would change the inequal distribution of wealth.
2. If money was no object what would be your ideal holiday?
My ideal holiday would be a combination of sipping cocktails on an island in Bora Bora with sled dogging in Lappland with a cruise in the Bahamas and visiting each of the worlds best rollercoasters.
3. What have you done that has made you proud of yourself?
Hmmm... I would have to say staying in a hard to staff school, with difficult clientele and succeeding with the some of the students I teach...plus my achievements in agility and softball.

Date: 2011-03-11 04:23 pm (UTC)hmmm your questions...
#1. If I could change anything about the world it would be for all the hate that people have for each other to go away. I wish we could all live happily and not discriminate towards race, creed, color or sexual orientation. To each his own; live and let live.
#2. If money was no object, I would take a holiday around the world to all the wonderful places out there - every continent has it's own specialness with unique and special people.
#3. What I've done that makes me proud of myself...I have raised to wonderful sons and I help people in my work.
Thanks for this...with the mood I'm in today this has helped me appreciate my life more and want to stop bitching about it.

Date: 2011-03-11 07:30 pm (UTC)1. There's a gazillion things I'd change, but one of them is using natural resources responsibly. Ideally, we'd stop the population explosion and be able to convert renewable resources into energy, like solar energy or poop or something.
2. World rollercoaster tour. Oh yeah. (Rides other than rollercoasters are also acceptable as long as they're cool.)
3. Going to law school. It was the scariest decision of my life, but it's probably one of the best things I've ever done (I love it here, yay!).
Also, hi!

Date: 2011-03-11 09:15 pm (UTC)*snark* *hugs you* ;P
1. The one thing I'd change in the world if I could would find a cure and/or vaccine for Nisseria B. meningitis so no more children would die from it.
2. My ideal holiday would be all of my local and internet friends from all of my internet communities on vacation with me on my private tropical island. We'd be doing all kinds of cool activities like snorkeling, fishing, diving, boating, dancing, and lying on the beach or in hammocks with Sammy and Dean as our Cabana Boys bringing us frou frou drinks in pineapples or coconut shells as we listen to some kickass music.
3.I'm proud of myself for being true to what I believe about myself. Even when it would've been easier to just roll over and take it up the wazoo. I stuck by what I thought was right. No regrets. I'm good.

3. Yay... raising children is (I think) one of the hardest things to do. There's no manual for that one...
Hi, thanks for saying hi. Thanks for your lovely comment also. I'm glad you like my vids and stuff. :D :D

Date: 2011-03-12 05:35 am (UTC)1. If there was one thing you could change about the world what would it be?
I'd change the hate people seem to harbour against anything that appears different, scares them or that they don't understand.
2. If money was no object what would be your ideal holiday?
Ohh man I'd go to Egypt. Always wanted to see the pyramids.
3. What have you done that has made you proud of yourself?
I decided on things and followed them through. They weren't earth-shattering or impressive to anyone else apart from myself perhaps, but it was the fact that I set myself goals, worked my butt off to afford them and damn well did what I had set out to do. For one example... *points to icon* Years ago I decided that I wanted to meet Orlando Bloom and so I hopped on a plane and went to say hi, brought along a prezzie for his dog, had an absolute blast, managed to take home several magazines and a Swedish newspaper we had appeared in and even received a letter from him thanking me for coming. To this day it sits on my bookshelf and I look at it sometimes when I'm going through a rough patch to remind myself that anything can be done and that sometimes... they turn out even better than expected. :)

Thank you for creating such awesome things!
1) Get rid off all forms of discrimination
2) Probably a round trip all over the world with a friend
3) Tiptoed out of my comfort zone
