Anyone have tips/advice/experience on converting mp3 podfics to audiobooks? (m4b). Now that I want audiobooks almost all the fics I want to listen to are mp3s. :(( And they are not the best format for iPods. Unless I am missing something (and with the day I'm having... yeah...)

• Click on "convert selection to aac".
• Delete from the library, all of the entries of the mp3s you put in and m4as that were created (these are mp3 and aac extensions not shown), but do not delete the files from the computer when asked.
• Go find the folder where itunes put the new m4a files.
• Change the extensions to m4b.
• Drag these into the itunes and the ipod will list them in audiobooks.
• They will also be skipped in the shuffle.
But I've always used a program called Audiobook Builder.

Thanks so much.

BTW, I finally got the Castle-Firefly style vid up. YEAH!!!

Date: 2011-07-12 10:55 am (UTC)Wow.. that looks like an interesting site. I can't see a M4b file, which I think is the main one I need. But I can see that coming in handy for all sorts of conversions.
Thanks (for delurking... *g*)
