Initially I didn't connect Dean's past as being out of step with him being covered in goo and not even wanting to shower - but I've since realised how out of character it is for him. And in fact I'd imagine him wanting to have a shower immediately when he returned - as we know how much he loves showers.
Then Cas will be forced to pick his 'earthly family' over his 'heavenly family' for the millionth time
Ah yes. I must say I didn't consider that. I confess I don't follow Cas' storyline s closely as I should. I forgot that we've been through this before.
I think my point about "seeing" what he was up to, was simply that we got to see it rather than be told about it. But yeah, they could have gone in a different direction. I suspect they need to do something with Cas until he plays a part with the nephilim and at this point they just seem to be running out of ideas. I'm not really sure...
And Dean has been taking a smaller role in the killings over the last couple of episodes - I wondered if this is because of the twins.? Even so, he's been in both episodes and there's no reason why he can't have smaller involvement, but still be involved in the kill.
However, Sam has also been shown to make the inexplicable and stupid decision to join the British Man of Letters for no good reason
Yeah, it's a strange one. I was hoping we'd have a clearer idea of why, but from this episode it simply looks like it's because they are getting the job done. My major concern is that when they realise what douche's they are Sam will get the blame (again) and he'll feel guilty for "taking a side". It's a usual storyline for the show, so it would be refreshing if it doesn't go that way. The weirdest thing is him saying that the BMoL helped kill the Vamp alpha - when it was Sam who did all that. Either way, they will have a moral dilemma coming up in regards to the BMoL.
Did you notice Mark Pellegrino appears to have been promoted to series regular?
oooh, no I didn't! Hmmmm, I wonder what that could mean. I can't see them keeping Lucifer around past this season (I mean, how many storylines can there be for him?!). Curious.
