Art that made me smile. I'm loving the expressions...Dean dresses Sam & Cas for Halloween. Hee! Team Free Will Oh for Dean to be so cheerful... :)

And um, I'm not sure if there's anyone of my flist (other than Lizzie & Kirsty) going to the AHBL Con on Saturday but there's been some changes. Namely the location (*koff* that's kinda significant!) and apparently no photos allowed. At all. *major suckage* How else are we suppose to get those great candid moments... *sigh*

And no video cameras. Which is apparently normal. So, um, how do we end up getting so much footage from these events? Surely a video camera is fairly hard to hide. Though if it's in a phone...? Hmmm *is naive*

And last thing (*sheesh* this was meant to be quick). If there are any Perthites lurking just a heads up that we're (a fellow Perth LJ'er and I) in the throes of trying to organise a get together. \o/ It was going to be to watch the final episode, but there are a few out of town. So looks like it could be to share a re-run (or two) and spend the evening drooling and squeeing discussing the finer points of our beloved show. So yeah, de-lurk if you'd like to be kept informed. ;)

Re: con...word is there'll be 5 mins at the start to take pics, but then that's it. It's ridiculous.
Maybe Misha, Jim, et al, will just give their consent and sanity will prevail.

Usually lots of pics at beginning, then they ask halt to flash photograpy, 'cos it's blinding for the guests, I'd suggest!

Hasn't she done an awesome job?! I admit I was pretty sceptical about how effective stills could be in making a vid but she's proved me sooooo wrong!

Oh 5 minutes? Generous of them. I reckon Misha et al would be pretty cool about it. I suppose we'll find out.

And I think everybody secretly films with their phones on cons. You just can't hold it up too long or they will notice. That's why we have all the short con uploads on YT. It's all kind of ridiculous. People pay so much money to be treated like they are doing something seriously illegal.

My little digital snapshot camera also takes video--I think most of them do--and I'd guess a lot of people vid that way, too. This stuff is FREE ADVERTISING for future cons. It's not like anyone thinks, "oh I was totally gonna go, but those shaky two minute vid clips with crappy sound are just like being there, so I don't think I'll bother.". *sigh* unless is it ahbl that sells their own vid after? In that case I do get it.

So really? Phones eh? I have to admit I had no idea. I was always under the impression fans were allow video cameras. I am indeed naive... Though yes. These cons aren't cheap so I think it's pretty tough that cameras are allowed.

I have more admiration now for those getting that stuff to us.

Hmm... maybe they do sell their own vid at AHBL. I suppose I'll find out. *whee* new experiences.... :D
