Writers strike

ash48So this has never bothered me before I am ashamed to say. But now that I am somewhat entrenched in a TV show I am seeing the light. Not to say that I haven't appreciated the the enormous value of writers before but I have never considered taking action.
I have seen a post calling on fans to contact the Governor of California to intervene - to support the writers and reduce the losses that will be incurred if the strike goes for as long as the last one (22 weeks - that's a long hiatus and a long time to suffer reality TV!)
