So I've fallen head over friggin' heals for Leverage. :) \o/ Yay shiny new, non heartbreaky show.

Can any of you kind peeps point me in the direction of any leverage comms? I did an LJ search, but yeah... pretty useless really. I've had this idea for a vid (I know! On top of a gazzillion other ideas for vids..) and I have no idea what might already be out there. This piece of music I'd like to use has probably already been used because it's so obvious.. but I wouldn't mind checking.

*adds to list*... one vid ditched, other vid started, picspam being played with, ao3vidders auction closing tomorrow, leverage vid idea, AND another SPN vid idea I wanna play with.

*sigh*

Also.. any tips on changing font in a post? In help I found something to change font for everything but I couldn't find anything on just posts...

Don't about Leverage comms, but you can change font with html tags. < span style="font-family Georgia">text here, things like that, though replacing "Georgia" with whatever font you want.

You like it? I watched about half of the first series when it started over here because everyone on my f-list seems to rave about it. I kept thinking am I missing something, 'cause I just didn't enjoy it all that much. There is a programme called Hustle over here that has been running for years that does exactly the same type of thing, so Leverage, despite the good quality of acting and production, felt old hat to me.

That's a good way to put it. It's fun to watch. Other favorites at the moment are Castle and White Collar, I think they also fit the bill.

I am adoring Leverage. I'm amazed that I love ALL 5 characters. I think Parker is becoming one of my all time favourite female characters and of course then there's the swooning I do over Eliot... :)

Hee! Yeah I really do. I think I'm enjoying the fun element and also the sense of "family" the 5 of them have. Plus I always love "sting" kind of scenarios. I also enjoyed Hustle. It showed here for a while. :)

And yes thank you. I am feeling much better. Thank goodness! - I don't cope well with being sick. :)

It's great to find shows that hubby enjoys as well. So far Fringe and Leverage have been a hit. I'll take a look at those when I get the chance. I'm also trying Chuck at the moment. Everyone seems to rave about that one too.

I am SO keen to make a Leverage vid. I have the perfect piece of music - which makes me wonder if it's already been used a million times. Maybe too bad if it has - I might do it anyway. :)

I'm feeling pretty enthusiastic about vidding it actually - so I might just go for it! :)

At the core are 5 characters - each with a specialist skill (and 4 out of the 5 with criminal backgrounds). They work together to take down baddies (usually "untouchables") by using a "sting" operation. So they set them up and catch them out. If you've ever seen the film "The Sting" - that sort of thing.

But what makes it so endearing (for me anyway) are the characters. They are all wanna be loners but are drawn together by the sense of belonging and family. They are quirky and dorky, sexy and smart - just a really nice combination of characters. And it's great to see the way they take out the bad guys.

Mostly it just good old fashioned lighthearted entertainment. (A very nice break from having your heart ripped out each week by another show I know!).

I've been watching Dl's. I'd say though that it would be available on DVD. I think S2 in complete. I'm about 5 eps into season2. :)

It's worth checking out if you like that sort of thing. ;)

Season 1 & 2 are out on DVD. I've been checking them out from my local public library, so that might be an option for getting a look at the show. Hope you find a way!

I completely agree with your evaluation of Leverage - that it's a more lighthearted form of entertainment show that doesn't leave me feeling wrung out after watching it. I don't have the same urge to dive into that world the way I do with Supernatural or Stargate, but it's a hell of a fun ride.
