Vid notes:

When the Levee Breaks is one of my all time favourite Supernatural episodes. I love that we got a chance to see inside Sam's head. I particularly love the way it was done.

In this vid I've tried to capture the intensity of that episode and explore a little bit of what Sam was going through. This has more effects in it than I would normally use, but I wanted to somehow portray Sam's confusion and state of mind and this, for me, was the a way of doing that.

There's a lyric in here that sums it all up for me: "safe from pain and truth and choice" The fact that he wasn't safe from those things and was instead confronted by those very things made me (finally) settle on this song for this video.

This was fantastic. It was heartfelt and I felt just as bad for Sam as I did the day I watched this episode. And it still hurts me to see our boys fight! D:

Yes - that episode is a very difficult one for me to re watch also (that and Swan Song). I think I really wanted to translate that experience in the vid, that's why it ended up being quite intense.
