The structure was something I wanted to get right from the start. I'm thrilled you thought the narrative was clear. It's something I can struggle with, especially when trying to tie in themes at the same time. :)
And yay! External footage. After your amazing post I realised how naively I was going into using it. Your post helped so much. I was conscience of it being very different to the show's footage, but that was, for me, one of the reason I wanted to use it.
The insular nature of SPN was very much in my though when putting this together.
