If you know me then you'll know I'm a bit of a Whumped!Sam fan. So I am a little bit gleeful to see that dragonfly_sg1 is having a Whumped!Sam Awesome!Big Brother Dean Appreciation month. \o/

There are a heap of fic recs (my 2 cents worth is in there *g*) and a vid rec. So if, like me, this is your thing pop over and leave some recs or find some reading that may satisfy your needs. *g*

Art rec:

Wet!boys (taking a shower together so Sam/Dean. PG13 I'd say.) It's by leyla_lovely. For me it's Sam's hair and his, um... arms. *guh* But Dean is damn pretty too!


Also... this is probably a bit weird but I want to go on a friending spree. I'm going to try and be not so shy in that area this year. Any recs? People you think I should say hello to? (or is that a weird question..? Ack! over three years on LJ and I still don't know the etiquette). There have been some peeps I've been stalking following so about time I friended anyway.. :D

nohwrah is awesome, as is ordinaryink Both real sweethearts and awesome fanworks on offer (nohwrah for fic, ordinaryink for art). aldehyde recs tons of awesome stuff all the time, and is super enthusiastic, and dugindeep is quite active and has got lots of pretty picture posts and gorgeous, gorgeous fics with great characterization. atimi does very amusing episode reactions with pictures, not meta-heavy I'd say, but VERY amusing...I always like reading about what she has to say.

I usually check their user page and their sticky post to see if they have a "friending policy." If they do, I abide by it. If not, I friend away. No one's ever gotten mad at me for that, and it would be petty if anyone did.

It's definitely dated. And slow. But I do love Starbuck and Appollo and in fact the effects hold up remarkably well. Considering how long ago it was made.

One of my hands down favourite writers is entangled_now. Her fic is at libraryofsol. She made me fall in love with Sam/Lucifer and Sam/Gabriel and I would say that in terms of skill only candle_beck rivals her. Plus she's kinda awesome.

For gen fic I would rec authoressnebula Her Raising a Big Brother series is all kinds of wonderful. I may be biased as she has written an awful lot of fics for me, but she really does now how to write gen Sam & Dean just how I like them.

If you are willing to try something a little different then I would strongly recommend friending gedry. She writes AU fic with primarily Sam/Gabriel Dean/Castiel, but also has a verse with Sam/Hel who is the daughter of Gabriel. I used to be pretty much a Sam/Dean kinda girl, but if I could only choose one story to go on and on and never end it would be this one. I adore Hel, and who would have thought it. She also writes the most adorable character of Elijah who is an angel (Castiels brother). In her current fic he is at high school with Adam. Yeah, I know!! I never thought I would be addicted to an Elijah/Adam fic!! I don't even like Adam in the show much, lol.

Anyways, I will go now, before I write an essay in your LJ!!
