Fundraiser - vid offer

As you are probably aware parts of my country are suffering due to floods. (Mostly Queensland but Northern NSW also, where I have family).

I've been amazed to see fandom pull together so quickly to offer assistance. It's incredibly heart warming.

I'd like to do my bit by offering a vid. If you'd like to donate and possibly get a vid in return *g* my thread is HERE

You know my main fandom is Supernatural but I'm happy to have a crack at something else - namely The Misfits (OMG! I've just started watching this and I LOVE IT! How did it take me so long to find it?!?!) and Hawaii Five-O. I don't know these shows quite as thoroughly as SPN but I can have a crack. :)

I can't believe how devestating the floods got. Entire parts of the country are actually closed.

And regarding vidding another fandom just think of me when you do. I either never watched, or haven't seen in decades, half the shows I vid. Just rely on what you know how to do and finding the clips will come...

Yeah - it's been quite remarkable. It's not often we see a CBD under water. It was the inland tsunami that was the biggest shock. No one was prepared and everything seemed to be just swept away.

For me, I feel like I really need to know the show fairly well (and the fandom) to pick up on the nuances. I realise that's different for mash up, but if I was making a story vid I would really want to know the character arcs.. :)

Also.. those are my 2 new shows that I love. The Misfits is fantastic! H5O is just good fun! :D :D

With what I do I really don't need to know the show as well. I'm matching the look more than the feel. And that's easier.

Oh do.. it's quite something. Very funny, but very dark also. A wicked mix and the characters are fantastic.

And yeah I'm blown away by the bidding. Though in these situations I want to make something for everyone who bids. Not possible unfortunately.

I actually really enjoy making the auction vids. Never know what I am going to get. :)

And YAY! Misfits! It's awesome. I've just watched all of S1 in 3 nights and just started on S2.

Because of some personal stuff that's happened my muse has decided to take a little vacation on the vidding front. My mind needs a somewhat less complex outlet of creativity at the moment.
