I can't. even. We had a Sam episode! \o/ I can't tell you HOW HAPPY THAT MAKES ME!! Oh Sammy - the things you did. I figure this is scraping the surface of what he's done.... oh god.

I really didn't expect him to be glimpsing Hell so soon. Really - I thought that might have been left a few episode but they are cutting to the chase!! (please, please, please PLESE don't let demonic!Sam emerge if the wall comes grumbling down. I just won't cope AT ALL!! I'm just getting all cosy again with soulful Sam. We've done cold bastard Sam.. let that be enough *water filled dewy eyes* . Flashbacks are cool though..)

Possibly more coherent thoughts later. But for now... *TWIRLS YOU ALL*

The structure of the episode was fantastically handled. And I squeaked everytime Sam used the puppy dog eyes.

The structure was fab! I loved the way they did that. Not just using flash backs but structured to create a mystery and give us in insight as to how Sam's brain is working at the moment. And to be the cause of the new hunt was a wonderful reveal.

Oooh - I'm looking forward to another re-watch. I haven't been able to re-watch eps this season... but I can now. :)

I loved it too but I don't think you have to worry about evilSam making a come back. I can honestly say I think they are totally finished with that :) I think, if the wall comes down, Sam will be an emotional and vulnerable mess. Cas certainly wasn't worried about Sam being evil at all, he was worried about Sam's mental state. I love how protective Dean is being - he knows his little bro is vulnerable now and I adore seeing Dean in all his big brother glory again. Long live the season oneness of this!

Oh thank you for the reassurances. I know I've voiced my concern about this before. I just keep thinking.. where can they go with this? And emergence of a demonic!Sam means a least he is around. A basket case Sam would mean he wouldn't be able to do much. But a mentally unstable and/or distressed Sam could be fascinating to watch... with potential for some yummy h/c

I think (hear the fluttering of traitorous heart?), I think Dean is scared he's screwed up by insisting on re-souling Sam, and terrified of what could happen to Sam, ESPECIALLY after Cas' horrible words!

And a Sam episode - woo h..! I hope/wonder if the focus of episodes will swing to showing Sam's actions, instead of just referring to them, and they occur off-screen.

I think Dean is incredibly worried about what will happen to Sam - and feel incredibly guilty if he suffers because he put his soul back. He did the right thing, but if Sam suffers, Dean will suffer. (Oh boys!! <3333)

I doubt we'll get any more flashback episodes (bit like I Know What You Did Last Summer). I hope we get some more Sam focused ep though. It's the first real one we've had all season (which is cool, if we have some make up time...*g*). But I may be wrong.

Suddenly a week seems like a long time to have to wait!

I think the best part about this ep is that now I totally understand how Samuel could throw Sam and his brother to the wolves. Who would choose that cold bastard over his daughter? I mean, RoboSam's a badass, natch, but I'm sure Sampa didn't see it that way.

This episode was FANTASTIC. I loves the little glitches in the flashbacks, how it sped up or skipped. Loveitloveit. And Sam is so pretty in black and white!!!!

Yeah - Samuel sure had a chance to witness a very cold Robo!Sam.

I am SO curious about Samuel... I think there's still a lot to learn about him and in this context maybe it does make it easier to understand why he handed Dean and Sam over. (I hated that moment though. It really made me hate Sampa!)

The skip edits were great. Loved that we saw some different camera (well, editing) work in this one. :D

Just pondering; the nick name of Robo!Sam may be been the source of all the angst about soulless!Sam's emotional reactions at times. (as in, lacked empathy wasn't a robot).

Well, that's a relief! I thought from your cut you maybe didn't like it much - you trickster, YOU!

I feel like they've grabbed the bull by it's horns, and refuse to back away from their story arc. So excited. I'm loving the reveal of what he did! Great that he acted with good intentions, if cold-bloodedly, ummm soul-lessly, a year ago.

Only noted 2 things - how long Sam in the cell? Seemed like night had come on, but Dean wasn't with that girl long enough.

Also, kept wondering why they didn't try to reach Samuel. Has he disappeared off their radar now? Does Bobby still communicate with him? After all, he knew Sam was back. Did he know he was working with Samuel? Do we know?

OOOOO! That final scene - works for me! *gasp*

Some good questions....

I wondered where Dean was when Sam was in jail. Though he might not wanted to have ended up there himself so had to keep away (??) Maybe he figured Sam could look after himself..*shrugs* little plot hole maybe. (though there are often a few of those...*g*)

And I figure they wanted to keep out of Samuel's way. Especially after the last episode we saw him in. Also, they may not know where to start looking for him? I think Samuel will him them when the time comes. Unless they seek him out for a hunt or something.

I will be very curious about what they do with him...:)

It's good to see your squee!

Mostly I am glad to get so much Sam pov, that the show is giving us his emotional story for this season directly, he's no longer a plot point or revealed via his absence. He's *Sam*. Also Dean and Sam were communicative, which always makes me happy.

The wall thing, I can't tell, I have no opinion on it until I can see where they're taking us with it.
