Vid Notes

When counteragent requested a Bobby vid she said "the world needs more Bobby vids". I agreed but it wasn't until I started looking for a song for Bobby that I realised why the world doesn't have more Bobby vids. Finding a song for him was hard!

When starrylizard suggested this song I kinda chuckled initially and didn't give it much consideration. Then I listened to the lyrics and started to picture how it could actually work. So I finally settled on a song that I thought was completely off the scale in terms of Bobby's character. But in hind sight I think (I hope!) it worked ok. I liked that it gave me the opportunity to use various POV's to show Bobby's character.

For me Bobby's story is often wrapped up in everyone else's. He's like an Everyman. The "go to" man when there's trouble. I loved Weekend at Bobby's for giving us more of an insight to his character. It also emphasised how much he does for others. So that became the focus for this vid. I didn't want it to be too heavy, because I don't think the show treats him too heavily, even though he obviously has his share of heartbreak.

Very cool! Chuckle worthy in fact; kinda reminds me of a pink umbrella and a wee, small car!

Always feel a bit sad at the lack of John, when I see Bobby always there in the "father figure" role. Kind of interferred with liking Bobby for the longest time, lol!

Oh really? You had a grudge against Bobby because he stole John's role as dad? How interesting. For me I think I love Bobby for that very reason... that he's been there when John hasn't. I think John would be very happy to know that Bobby was looking out for his boys. :)

(Plus...trust them to cast JDM as John. He goes on to be a big Hollywood name meaning they couldn't really bring him back.... :( )

I have a soft spot for Bobby I have to confess. At least they've given him a back story - though I love that he's still everybody's go to man.
