Also for the encouraging feedback along the way. *squish* Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] starrylizard for the song suggestion. I would never have thought of this song for Bobby. Thanks sweetie. And to [livejournal.com profile] _sharvie_ for taking a look and making some valuable suggestions. I know you're busy so I appreciate it. *heffa hugs* And *smish* to [livejournal.com profile] maichan808. Look at that awesome banner! \o/ It's like she can read my mind. <33

Vid Notes

When [livejournal.com profile] counteragent requested a Bobby vid she said "the world needs more Bobby vids". I agreed but it wasn't until I started looking for a song for Bobby that I realised why the world doesn't have more Bobby vids. Finding a song for him was hard!

When [livejournal.com profile] starrylizard suggested this song I kinda chuckled initially and didn't give it much consideration. Then I listened to the lyrics and started to picture how it could actually work. So I finally settled on a song that I thought was completely off the scale in terms of Bobby's character. But in hind sight I think (I hope!) it worked ok. I liked that it gave me the opportunity to use various POV's to show Bobby's character.

For me Bobby's story is often wrapped up in everyone else's. He's like an Everyman. The "go to" man when there's trouble. I loved Weekend at Bobby's for giving us more of an insight to his character. It also emphasised how much he does for others. So that became the focus for this vid. I didn't want it to be too heavy, because I don't think the show treats him too heavily, even though he obviously has his share of heartbreak.

Fabulous, fabulous work, I've watched it about 10 times already!

First, I loved the bubbles and the circular transitions you used sparingly all the way through - that really suited the tone of the music for the vid and I thought you did a terrific job with linking the horror of Bobby's world right off with the shredder incident! Gorgeous montage of shotgun!Bobby - YAY, brilliant.

I thought the section from the phones onward particularly outstanding, those expressions, one after the other played out perfectly with the song and hugging both boys on 'someone to hold' was pure Bobby and that clip of him sitting in the wheelchair on 'lonely heart'? Guh, but really the whole piece summed up this character and what he's meant to fans down through the seasons just perfectly.

Thanks for sharing this one for the smiles it's given me this afternoon and many afternoons to come I expect.

Hi!

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. <#

I think the circles came from an idea that [livejournal.com profile] starrylizard had about the opening. I then thought it might be fun to carry that on through the vid with the transitions.

I thought you did a terrific job with linking the horror of Bobby's world right off with the shredder incident!

I'm glad that came across. Initially the film was a lot darker. I had clips of Bobby with the demon in his basement but it was confusing the tone of the vid (this is why my betas are awesome..*g*), so I cut it down. But I still wanted to show what his real world is like.

I'm so glad you liked it hun. It was a tricky one I have to say... so I'm glad it worked for you. :D :D
