I CAN! \o/

It's Wednesday morning and I'm on HOLIDAYS! I tell ya...I needed this break. My class this year are a handful. I'm not moaning. At all. I love my job but it's soooo nice to have a break.

So. I have the house to myself. This of course means getting stuck into some vidding that I'm busting to get done. \o/ (in between bouts of housework that is...)

I don't think I've mentioned that I am making a film at school. It's with a select group of children and it's for an international competition. It's extraordinarily exciting. It can only be 5 minutes long and the children have to do everything. Come up with the concept, write the script, shoot it and edit it - with my guidance of course, but essentially it's their project. I thought the hardest thing would be coming up with a concept and script but they've done it and we will be ready to shoot next term. They've chosen graffiti verses urban art as the theme.

I'm on a huge learning curve myself. I made a film when I was in uni but that was a gazzillion years ago. I hope it works out.

Hee... I've had another request of a vid from that ep (which I find hilarious considering it hasn't even aired yet) to Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy. I like your suggestion though. All depends on how the episode plays out I suppose.

WHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Holidays YES! *does happy holiday dance with you* Honestly someone needs to have words with the Educational Powers That Be about having terms last over 10 weeks, that is just NOT ON. I have a feeling though it would be easier to get an audience with the Pope in order to propose the moving of Easter so it doesn't get absorbed by school holidays *sigh*

YAY Vidding-fest! EXCELLENT. I am looking forward to the outcome! Sounds like a very awesome project you are doing with your kids - I bet they're totally psyched for it too!

Ok - I am going to get productive now too, my holiday TO DO list is a mile long and unfortunately contains 10 days worth of relief lessons to write up since I fly out in 2 weeks to the UK MEEP!!! All is good and under control...well soon to be anyway! *vbg*

*DANCES* SO awesome that they are finally here. NO idea why we couldn't have finished last friday and started back Monday fortnight...strange. Still wouldn't have messed with easter.

I'm really looking forward to the vid I'm working on being finished. I've had a ball making it. Even ventured out of my comfort zone with one section - so hopefully I can pull it off.

The kids are very psyched for the film. I'm so happy we have a script already. I thought that would be the hardest part. I think the actually filming will be the tricky part. I'm sure they'll do fine though.

Awww... thanks hun. I hope they realise how lucky they are to have an opportunity like this in primary school. Not many primary schools have media programs, let alone be able to make an actual film. I've been lucky also to be give the extra time to do it. :)
