SVS recently had 2 challenges - one for and 80's song and one for a recap. Unfortunately I wasn't in time for either, but it did spark the muse so I have a recap made to an 80's song!

As usual my thanks go to my fabulous beta _sharvie_. She did an awesome job on this - picking up things and making suggestions that made me do a happy dance. :D

In fact, this vid marks our 1st anniversary of working together. It was this time last year Sharvie agreed to take a look at my Season 2 recap. I remember her first sentence to me - "This video suffers from an identity crisis." That line has stuck with me and it's always on my mind while I'm make a vid. *hugs* to you hun. You've taught me a lot.

I'm so sorry it squeeked you out. Originally I had the even gorier bit with the scooper a lot closer (!) - but Steph said it may just be a bit too icky! I needed a quick, easy to recognise clip for that ep - so that stuck in my mind!

Yay! A new vid from you! Ooh - and an 80's recap too!

Well it's definitely up to your usual high standard so it's a shame you didn't get it in for that challenge in time.

The clips you've picked match the lyrics so well - here's just a few examples:

0.33 - on their way back from the fire
0.57 - murder by the roadside
1.39 to 1.52 - all those clips!
1.55 to 2.01 - where's the glory/where's the angels
2.04 - figureheads have fell
2.29 - never chose this way (aw, sad clips)
2.34 - never close your eyes

And those were just my favourite bits that matched cos pretty much every scene did - which is excellent work.

Also - IMO an amazing recap of of S3 - you used so many of the scenes which defined each episode and it's just great - makes me want to go rewatch them all - well all except the last one of course! =)

I'm not usually a fan of heavily transitioned vids, as often I jsut find it distracting with too much going on, but I think with the clips you used and the story you were going for that it worked very well - for example I really liked the B&W shots at the beginning and the close-ups of the clock from 316 - the only one I really didn't like (as I did find it too distracting) was the orangey type transition with a sort of blue line that you used mostly for the 'Wild Boys' part of the chorus.

Your editing was really good too - in time with the beats which I think is so important. Watched it a few times now and I'll be keeping this one to watch a few times more - and to pimp out a little too =)

Thanks - really, really enjoyed that vid - now I'll go get it listed on The Impala before watching again! =)

AWESOME VIDEO !!!

First of all, I`m in love with this song, ever since it was released for the first time.

I love the Intro, the color changes, the texture, the zoom, or whatever you used to make some clips look as they do. Love the timing on the beats, perfect. Love the mix of all the effects you used on this, the entiere look, and sound, of this video, this is a masterpiece, from start to finish ... *bows before you*

I have no idea how many times I watched it already, this goes straight onto the next DVD I`ll burn to watch on my Big Screen.

Whoa! I got chills!! I love getting to see the final cut with everyone else, it's like getting little surprise treats. And you were so right. The last frame was a doozy! Wow! \o/ I'm so glad it worked. :D In fact, all your final changes were perfect! Very nicely done!

I'm still boggling that you managed to not only do a great recap vid, which is so hard to do, but do a great one set to Wild Boys which is also so hard to do well. And yet somehow you managed to create beautiful visuals to tell a compelling story set to that song. Bravo! Oo, and another bravo for the visual and audio effects work. Subtle in some areas and strong in others to combine wonderfully into a cohesive whole. Excellent vid!

I can't believe you remembered it was our anniversary! *lol* It's been a wonderful, fantastic ride and let's face it... you rock, girl! Betaing for you is a blast! Ah, I've been waiting for this ever since you first mentioned the possibility of making a vid using Wild Boys!

I take my hat off to you, m'dear, because this is awesome. And so hot. I particularly like the way you've used the sepia shots in quick succession each time with the 'Wild Boys' lyric. Perfect.

(Oh, and I've been meaning to say for some time how much I adore your Different Kind of Knight vid - I keep coming back to it again and again because I love it so much.)
