It's Friday night. I have a drink in hand and I feel like blogging. It's fairly random stuff but it's fandom stuff so at least it has that in common. Random fandom it would seem...



1. Thank you for the lovely feedback on my latest vid. I've had a somewhat difficult week so reading the comments has been a bright spot. <33

2. I have a dilema with my next vid. (Well, the vid after the one I'm fighting with at the moment. Perhaps taking on a show other than SPN might not have been so wise. I will persist however because I'm stubborn if nothing else..*g*)

I have a song that is PERFECT for Sam. It's been written for him. And I love it. But. I've had the song stuck in my head for the last 3 days (it was 3 days ago I listened to it) And I mean stuck. On a loop. Waking up at night with it playing in my brain without permission. It's been driving me nuts. (and I haven't even started vidding it yet!). It's finally out of my head (left at about 4pm today) and I'm too scared to listen to it in case it takes hold once again. Arghhhh! I don't know whether to ditch it or live with the constant tune in my head for the next few weeks for the sake of a Sammy vid.

The downside to vidding is loving a song before you vid it and then hating it afterwards. There's about 3 songs I've vidded that I may never be able to listen to again. :(

But it's a MUST VID song...(it getting stuck in my head is a complete surprise. Never had it to this extent before).

On a more upbeat note....

3. SSSSHHHHOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!! \o/ I am SO excited for the last two eps! I know NOTHING about what's coming up and I am bouncing around in anticipation. Hubby is away at a rowing regatta ALL day so I shall bury qmyself in the experience of watching them and then enjoy all the CHAT afterwards. I will probably have to post an insta!reaction after 21 and then another after 22. I love that we get to indulge in TWO WHOLE EPISODES! *TWIRLS FLIST*

4. I finally got an iPod so I can upload my beloved podfics to my hearts content. Though there has to be more bottom!Sam podfics out there?! They are really hard to find. (yep... that's a hint to rec me some if you got 'em).

5. *HUGS* (And I mean it! Feeling fragile sucks... friggin' hormones )

PPS: I've just been reminded that it's the beginning of the END tomorrow Man, I HOPE NOT! There's a double episode of SPN on the 21st (for me) !!! I will be seriously PISSED if Judgement Day interrupts that!

I'll do my best to inform you all if Judgment starts in AUS tomorrow. I'll probably squeeze in the eps first if I can though. (And I am not being disrespectful. There's just a few things I'd like to squeeze in before the end of days....)

3. TWO HOURS!! I must be in heaven! I watched a couple of seasons of SV and I enjoyed it. I was never hooked but I imagine watching the last episodes must have been emotional.

4. You HAVE have experience podfics. They are the BEST invention. Those moments of being stuck in traffic, waiting for an appointment, commuting... being able to listen to someone read to you is awesome. If you ever want a place to start let me know and I'll find you something.

5. It's kinda weird reading about someone drinking when you're eating your breakfast.. :)

Adk - TOMORROW!!! I can finally get back to l/j! Right now I just have my flisties tagged and the rest of the time? I'm not here, you didn't even see me did you? ***bites fingers**** I'm SO excited though, I literally don't know a THING, not even the titles and it's wonderful and terrible all at the same time! And then you have another big deadline next week! Whoo!

Song for vid? If it's stuck there then it needs to be done, come on, don't tell me it's not already pretty well plotted out in your head already - so, I think you should do it - well, mostly I think you should do it because I'm desperate to know what it IS that's got so stuck - bad me though hasn't even watched your last one, will rectify that over the weekend.

Pod casts just creep me the hell out, don't know why, but having someone in my head talking? Nope, far too much talking in my brain already, maybe one day, but right now it's still too freaky.

As for Judgement Day and the Rapture starting today, well, I've had a good look around and can't find anyone missing - but maybe I just hang around in the gutter too often to know those that have already left?

And yes about song. I figure it's been stuck in my head because it HAS to be vidded. But!...I need respite from it constantly being in my head. Maybe if I actually vid it it will leave me alone....

Ok. So. Here's the thing about podcasts. You have to experience ONE. Just one. Then you can say (from experience) whether you like someone whispering in your ear. The thing is... if you have a good reader (and there are plenty out there) there is nothing better then having those "waiting" moments (or exercising moments!) filled with fic that one would never have the chance to read otherwise. That's it for me. "Reading" fic when I really don't have the time. :D Joy.. (if the "one day" ever comes let me know. I'll find something for you. ;) )

I'll be curious to see what happens if and when Judgement and Rapture comes... I'm open minded.. as long as it doesn't interrupt my viewing!

I ♥ good podfic. I have a 5-hour drive to visit family that I do several times a year, and it's lovely to listen to a good fanfic on the way. (Just like listening to audiobooks on CD, only better! Except when sometimes the fanfic makes me cry. Not a good thing while driving!)

I wish I could point you in the direction of bottom!Sam.. but they are hard to find. If you type in Sam/Jared or Jared/Jensen it will list all the fics with this pairing. Those must vid songs kill. Though I have to say I have never had a song repeat itself in my head so much. I think the tune is really catchy or something... Lyrically it has potential to really tap into Sam's head. It's quite something..

I'm pretty sure a vid request I made of someone some years back totally ruined a song for her by the time she finished. (But it was a good vid!) Conversely, I can say that there are some songs I can't hear without thinking of a particular vid that used it.

I've fallen in love with songs after watching an SPN vid to it. In fact, I think that's what inspired me to vid in the first place. But yeah... listening to it over and over (and over and over) again can take the shine off it. Then if the vid is particularly difficult it can make you down right hate it.

Oh well... that's the way it goes. I think I might just have to do it anyway. The song is quite perfect for Sam...
