Quickie question..

I'm trying to find info about the sex scene that was deleted in Free to be You and Me - between Sam and Lindsay.

The Wiki link is to a purged LJ (anteka's..). So I know that it exists but just don't know where to start looking.

Any ideas?

(And yep. As well as wrestling with some vids at the moment I'm also trying to write meta on Sam and sex. /o\. I just. WTF... ?! I can't write to save my life... *head shake* Hmm... maybe that's why I'm doing it. Or maybe it's because I want to perv look all the pics that are going to accompany it...*g*)

I'm sorry I can't help with your search, but this is news to me. There was a thing with Sam and Lindsey in FTBYAM? How come I didn't know about this? I learn something new every day....even if it doesn't help with the meaning of life, still it's news! LOL

I know! I read about it and then forgot about it. But now I what to meta about it I can't find it. The fact that Super Wiki mentions it (and even has a photo!) confirms that it is indeed fact.

It's interesting.. I would love to know why they decided to delete it.

I think it (the scene) might have been in a preview or similar, but then not there when ep went to air. Your talking about a pic. of him kissing her, yes? Perhaps explains why Sam is shirtless second time we see him in bed, and he dreams about Jess... just pondering that.

To be honest all I remember is some vague "talk" of it. I checked the Wiki site and there was mention so I had hoped that maybe there had been more info about that scene.

The kiss pic is also at Wiki.

But yeah... wow. I never considered why he was shirtless at the end..... curious....

all i remember is that fter Sam kicks the arse of the hunters, Lindsay comes onto him (i think) and then there was the sex scene with him and Lindsay. this is why he's initially not freaked that there's someone in bed with him ...until it turns out to be Jessica . (there was also another deleted scene where Dean thought he sees Sam in the street.) i don't think there was ever much more info than that.

Wow.. so the sex scene would have come after he kicked the hunter's arse's..? That's quite something considering Lindsay seemed quite appalled by Sam's behaviour. Though maybe it was a comfort kind of reaction. Man.. I'd love to know about that.

But... how do you know this? Was it referenced somewhere? I remember vague chat about such a thing after the ep aired but didn't take much notice - in terms of following it up. I'd love to be able to site it in this meta, so if something exists that gives proof to all this it would be awesome.

Sam and Lindsay seemed to bond more over their shared screw ups as addicts and she seemed more sympathetic than nosy. I am pretty sure that the only footage seen was a couple of shots during a promo. I don't know if they do have it but the dean_sam comm generally has all the ads/promos here: http://dean-sam.livejournal.com/2983943.html

Oh.. so only promos? I think the pic that exists is from a promo..

Hmm... I wonder if there's anything on the DVD? Deleted scenes maybe. I haven't been through that...

I'm not a member of that comm so can't check that out. I have been resisting membership (for a reason that I can't remember now... but if something's there I might have to fold..)

I don't think there is anything on the DVD. I went looking when I first got mine (hides pink face). I might have missed something though...

I might check, but I'd say there would have been info around the place if the scene actually existed as an out take.

As far as I'm aware the filmed sequences were only used in the promo vids - there's one here

There's only one deleted scene on the Season 5 DVD's in my region and those were extra scene from the ending of The Real Ghostbusters - mostly more of Chuck if I remember right.

Do you honestly think that if it DID exist as a deleted scene on the DVDs it wouldn't be plastered over every Sam vid made since? Most of us would give up chocolate for some new footage like that!

And yes! If the footage was around we would sure know about it. How dare they tease us and then not come up with the goods.

I really just wanted to make sure I hadn't imagined the whole notion that there was a sex scene originally planned for the ep. (So that link is perfect). Like I was sure Sera mentioned that Dean was originally supposed to come back without a soul when he returned from hell in S3 but because of the shortened season they changed it. But I cannot find proof anywhere about that... *stomps foot*
