I just finished re-watching 6.22 in preparation. \o/ (why didn't I pick up Balthazar's "How’s Sleeping Beauty? You didn’t steal any kisses I trust?" before?!) Oh Show... you do tease. <33

So. First a question. Why are Big Bangs called Big Bangs? Just curious.

Second: Look what I bought today! (I'm such a dag). I didn't get my act together to send one to the set so I bought myself one (so I could smile fondly and think about my show when I look at it) because...

As I am home alone I have an old episode of The Hardy Boys playing. My first ever boy crush was on Shaun Cassidy (I can hear you mocking me! Be quiet. He had nice hair.). But here's the thing. He's Katie Cassidy's uncle. He's related to first Ruby! So cool... (or lame, depending on how you look at it /o\).


Right. I better shut up. Too much random for one night.

Ack! It fell off. And then I was so worried I would lose it so I took it off. Its pride and place is by my bed (next to my SPN calendar).

So no fear. I still have it. Just not with my keys. (It's also so heavy!)

(I reckon the duck will fall off too. For $2 I can't hope for much).

Well it'll be tomorrow for me, and probably not until the afternoon or evening - don't like watching it first thing in the morning; doesn't feel right!

Same for me. It's available at around noon for me, but usually I like to wait until the evening to watch it. It feels "better" for some reason.. (though I might not be able to wait until the evening tomorrow for this first one...)

I'll let you know if I get an answer on the Big Bang question. :)

BigBang, from what I've heard it initially came from HP fandom and they set it a bit differently - a larger word count 40k, and all of the fics/art are revealed on the same day on a separate site -hence bigbang.

SGA is the only I know that follows the same tradition.

Tehe... and here I was thinking I was the only one not know what bigbang stood for. I was curious because I am seeing so many Big Bangs around at the moment. More like small bangs in comparison.

Shaun LP! \o/ I remember saving up for and buying my first ever cassette and it was Shaun Cassidy. (No idea what happened to that. I wished I had kept it for memories sake..)

Yes, mini-bangs given the size of some fandoms or restriction on content. It's when the length gets cut down that I think it really loses something though. It seems in a way like fandom challenges go to opposite extremes with things like kink memes encouraging short, quick work and BB encouraging long, involved work.

I'll be watching though probably not until tomorrow as I have a meeting this evening. But yeah, the bloom's been off the rose for a while. I'm around for the fanworks really ;)

It was the impala that fell of my keyring. I bought the s6 DVD and it came with an impressive impala keyring, only it kept coming off, so I took it off so I wouldn't loose it.

The duck is still there. Only got it today, but I'm not sure how long it will last as it was very cheap. But wheeeee... devil duck. (and yep... I looked for an angel duck but no such luck).

denyce has an answer above for why it's called bigbang. Comes from the HP fandom apparently.
