I FUCKING LOVED THAT!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Where do I even start. Ok. So, here's the thing. This will be non sensical, all over the place squee because I am kinda busting.. BUSTING... at the moment. (excuse all the caps lock!)

I'll count the ways to try and make at least look a bit orderly.

1. Evil!Winchesters!!! I Just... THEY DID THAT!! \o/ (ok, so all the killing was awful and really, I shouldn't be excited over so much killing of innocent lives... but to see them in these different full on cold, Natural Born Killers kind of way..just made me bounce! The Js really looked like they were enjoying that.)

2. The conversation in the Dinner!!! PRICELESS... I love outsider POV. The dialogue was so precious.

3. I am LOVING LOVING the leviatans as the new big bads. (the CGI heads not so much, but it does match the somewhat corny B grade horror that they are going for this season). WOW.. they are smart and suave and ruthless (and kinda pretty..) AND CROWLEY WAS PUT IN HIS PLACE BY ONE!!! \o/ That was worth the entrance fee!! (yeah... I'm one of the few who don't like Crowley, so that was kinda awesome for me. Though it might mean that the boys are now forced to work with Crowley (again) to topple them. Which... yeah. I could do without that. But, if they do go that way I suppose I won't mind. It felt like a real bye bye to the demon arc).

4. JODY AND BOBBYYYYYYYYYYYYY. *sings* Jody and Bobby sitting in a tree k i s s i n g ... It made me go all sort of childish and gooey. Jody is SO misty eyed for Bobby. It's so CUTE!!!! \o/

5. Bobby!!! \o/ More awesome. It cements for me that there's nothing going on with him. He just took the burning of his house in his stride. I'm really REALLY glad they mentioned it though. So yeah. Bobby's tough. He has a roof over his head. He's alive. He's helping people and now he has a sweet heart. DO NOT KILL JODY SHOW... or else... or else... I'll.....CRY! (And not like you for a while). Give Bobby this PLEASE. Also... giving us more of Bobby's inner thoughts. Trouble with dad?!?! Argh..

6. FRANK. LOVED :D... The dialogue (once again) was priceless. (must check who wrote this one...)

7. BEST LAUGH OUT LOUD MOMENT... DEAN SINGING ALKSJD;ALSKA;LSDKU;ALSDKFJA;SLDFJ!!!!! The looks! The passion! The words!! "I'm so lost without you". (DAMNIT! I need to vid that NOW!!) Sammy!faces \o/ Arghhhh!!!!! *bounces* Might be one of my fav moment EVER!

8. BOYS ON THE ROAD TOGETHER. Just. Yes. Thank you. (How friggin' hard must they have worked in the ep. They were in SO many scenes (yay!).

9. And of course. OM MY GOD! Sam finding out Dean's secret. (thank you!!! It didn't drag on tooooo long). His wibble face was just so right. What really got me was it really made me feel for Amy. As in Sam not only realised what Dean did, but that Amy is dead. SO much for Sam to process in that one moment and I thought it was handled perfectly. (more big bad levithan - liking to watch their victims suffer before eating them..)

10. SAM WALKED AWAY!! OMG! It's SO Sam. Sam has been through so much and yet his reaction to being hurt is still the Sam we know. For a minute I thought he might clock Dean one but that's not Sam's way. Dean would have done, but not Sam. And ok. I'm sure there will be cries of "stop running away Sam". But come on. He needs to process this and the way Sam does it is by taking some time away. It all felt so right that it didn't hurt. As in, I've been gutted when Sam has walked away from Dean before but this time... it just seemed like the right thing to do.

There will be cries of "Sam is deliberately hurting Dean my turning away". Ok. Yes. Sam knows this will hurt Dean. Sam now knows that Dean really can't live without Sam (be still my heart) so by walking away Sam does know that will hurt Dean. And why not. I'm not saying Dean needs to be hurt anymore but he really should have fessed up to what he had done. Or not done it. So yeah. A (lovers) spat. We KNOW they will be back together. We KNOW they will work it out. I love that we have this little drama ahead of us. \o/

11. Really loved Dean in this. The hurt is still all there (though no drinking in this one??) but he was just soldering on. We got to see him really working the case. I just loved the face when he heard about the dinner. It's was like.. "yep. That'd be right. It's because I loved those burgers". Oh Dean. The world really IS against you. *hugs* him. (I do worry for him now though...)

12. They DITCHED THE IMPALA!!! Thank god! Something that really bugged me when they were on the run for the police in the past is that they got around in such a recognisable car. GOOD MOVE BOYS!! About time they became "Smith" (hee..Mr & Mr) rather than rock legends.

13. (good Halloween number to end on). I knew NOTHING about this ep and I think that really helped me enjoy it to the level I did. I knew the title and I am SO SO relieved that they didn't go 4th wall on us and examine actual slash fiction. I mean... there were plenty of delicious references (they really have the boys married to each other don't they. Bonded at least) so I was thrilled with that.


*happy sigh* It just felt so damn satisfying. Gritty, elements of humour, plenty of film shout outs (they actually mentioned Butch and Sundance \o/), Bobby love interest, BLOOD SPLATTERS (5 out of 6 eps have had the blood splatters), bromance out the wahzoo!! \o/ more about the big BIG bad, just...just...

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! That has seriously left me in a great mood.

I haven't read any other reactions. I have no idea what you all thought. (ACK! Maybe I'm the only one who loved it... Hee *shrugs* that's cool).

You won't harsh my squee if you didn't like it. I'm happy to hear if you didn't. I'm always interested in difference points of view. I know each of us enjoy the show for different reasons. That episode just happened to have all the reasons in there that I love it.

(ETA - rewatching. Was that a My Lttle Pony hanging from the rear view mirror??!! If so... HAHAHA! They know us so well! Awesome.

Also on second viewing... *sniff* final scene. Choked me a bit 2nd time... )

It was fascinating to watch these levi!wincesters in action. They weren't robots, or non thinkers. They actually reacted to each other (which was awesome because it took a minute to figure which winchesters we were watching) and they seemed to have some sort of conscience. They were ruthless but knew what they were doing. Fascinating.

Dean didn't drink this ep... I'll be interested to see if he really hits the bottle in the next.

And yeah... the boys were really connected, which made the end a real slap in the face. I didn't see that coming, even though they played that scene again in the "then".

the song!! I lauged so hard I had to stop the video for a moment cause I couldn't hear what they were saying. Sams looks and Deans little embarrased smile at the end GOLD!!

I don't think I have squeed this much about a side character romance subplot, but i was literally squeeing at the scene at all the Bobby/Jody scenes with lots of awwwwss for effect. I want them to marry and run the junkyard and adopt the boys!!!

J2 obviously had loads of fun playing the leviathans (and why does evil!Sams or soulless!Sams hair always look so pretty?!) "it's like eating righteousness" XDXDXDXDXD. there were so many clever digs and shout-outs to the fans "I like this ones hair better." Lies I tell you lies ^^

there were really creepy, but so well acted.

and the amy thing!! I'm so happy that Sam walked away. Because it isn't something you can just fix with an apology and it shouldn't. But his face...and Dean not even trying to defend himself (but sorry Dean i'm with Sam here, either don't do it or do it but don't lie) such a good hurt.

Totally agree. And this time when Sam walked away, I didn't get the impression it was leaving Dean, only just needing to get away for a little bit. It was too much, on top of constantly keeping Lucifer at bay, to try and process how he was feeling - since he so obviously identified with Amy - with Dean there and apologizing. Sometimes you just are not ready to hear 'I'm sorry' and accept it right away. I loved him walking away instead of saying something he didn't mean or out of anger - again that would have been a Dean response.

I personally loved everything last night! Awesome stuff! And, yup, boys are back together next week so I am interested in how they work it out. Although they might just pick it up with them working the case together and we don't get to see it. I would love if Dean actually doesn't let Sam really go to far without him. He has to know how badly this would have affected the kid. And, on the plus, Dean's secret it out so that must be some weight of Dean's shoulders. But - awk - that broken look on Sam's face when he found that not only does Dean think he is a whack job but that Dean killed Amy? Sniff sniff. Perfect!

It was great pay off for Sam wasn't it?! It was extremely telling woth levia!Sam was saying how his head was a Satan show. I think because we don't see Lucifer it's easy to forget he's there but it sounds like he's constantly having to ignore him. I'm really glad they've given Sam a moment to so reflect on this.

I am really REALLY interested to see how they resolve this. I haven't seen the promo so no idea what's going to happen but obviously they always have to (somehow) find their way back to each other.

Both boys are so worried about what the other one thinks on them... so messed up. But so awesome. <3333

Oh I loved this episode soooooooooooo much! It was amazing! Just everything, Evil!Winchesters, Frank, Bobby and Jody, The snarky Leviathan (sp), Baby in the corner (Impala - Nooo!), Dean singing in the car with a awkward Sam, Pulp fiction reference - YES!

Poor Sam *hugs him* I know a lot of people in the past have had problems with Sam walking away but to me i just thought that this was the more reasonable thing to do. Sam has so much to process and he needs time and space to think, what with Lucifer, the fact that his brother lied to him when Sam's being as honest as possible and Sam asked Dean to trust him. *hugs them*

I'm looking forward to a rewatch so I can wallow in it more and observe more closely!

(It's so nice to have a season where I *want* to rewatch! Not that I hated any season, but some just were too intense and 'negative' to enjoy watching again and again.)

I agree with you about Sam walking away. (Plus, I know it won't be for long *g*.) But basically what he heard is that Dean thinks he's crazy (per Leviathan!Dean), and that Dean doesn't consider him an equal partner whose opinion should count or at least be considered and discussed, doesn't trust Sam to be able to make the right decisions, lies to him... and kills someone that Sam genuinely cared about. In cold blood. Without any apparent remorse.)

Now, I'm not at all trying to say that this is all true, without considering Dean's side of the story. But right now, Sam is in too much pain to consider Dean's reasons. Which is quite normal. And I kinda think Lucifer may be there, too, over Sam's shoulder, murmuring, "See, Sam? It's like I've been saying all along..."

Squee! Can't wait for next week!

Rewatching... I know. So few eps in S4 to S6 I wanted to rewatch because they were just so painful and/or intense. I've always enjoyed them on the first watch but this is the only season, since 1 and 2, that I've rewatched eps.

Oh wow. That's .....oh. I never even thought of that.. that's quite something to consider...

I really took to heart levia!Sam's mention of Sam's head being a Satan show (or something like that..). A reminder that he's constantly having to ignore lucifer. And you really summed up everything that Sam has to consider...

That was FUN. :D Evil!boys! Awkward brother moments in the car! Bobby!! (I like Jody but am refusing to feel feelings because the show has gotten ridiculous killing off supportings, I'm sorry, but I can't manage to really care at this point and I'm pretty sure she's a dead woman walking...) I also loved the diner scene and leviaDean and Sam, ouch.

The last scene didn't work for me in execution, but I'm very relieved the secret it out, the idea of that being dragged on untill mid-season cliffhanger filled me with tiredness. I'm annoyed we still have contrived brother conflicts, but it seemed to me like Sam needed to vent, Sam needed to storm off (as Sam does, aw Sam <3) and Sam will come back because he always does and also Sam knows the difficulties and dilemmas of the hunting life, and Sam's lied too. Soooo...venting and then they'll come back together. I'm having Scarecrow flashbacks.

So glad they go it out into the open in this one. I honestly didn't think it was going to be a thing, but I'm glad they are still exploring the trust and lying issues. They're both pretty bad at holding out on the other - mostly to protect the other and then it somehow back fires.

So yeah, very interested to see what brings them back together. (remaining totally unspoiled... I think I am enjoying it more that way..)

Woo hoo this was a fun one right? It was so entertaining, with badass boys and badass Levi!Boys! (loved them) and still angsty at the same time. The flashes back to S1 were really cool, and I liked how that was done. Even to the part about Dean getting a mop (Home). I still can't figure out what the Levis want with the Winchesters though, unless it's to punish them for killing their Mother. I haven't heard a lot of speculation yet on why they are after them so I'm just throwing this out there.

The scene in the car was so hilarious - I've watched it many times and crack up every single time! Dean does miss his Baby and what better song for that than Air Supply. I can imagine the number of takes they had to do to get through that scene :D

Getting some back story on Bobby was nice, and the parallels he has with Dean are scary - they are so similar in so many ways. Glad Bobby and Jody have some sparks finally, they make a cute couple. I really miss Bobby's house though, it was just kinda swept under the rug like so many things. I want the panic room back if nothing else!!!

Crowley was in and out quickly, but I'm sure we've not seen the last of him. He's up to something again, and he'll probably pull the boys into it somehow. Should be fun to watch when they finally meet up again. The Levi boss means business, and they filmed that scene right outside the Supernatural Studios in Vancouver - very cool!

The boys need to go into lockdown somewhere and just have it out - I really wish the writers would give us that. But no hitting, no more of that EVER. Hopefully Sam will come back to Dean this time and they can talk finally. It's way past time for a Winchester Talk. He really is very fragile right now though, and it almost looked like he was having a flashback in the jail right after Dean killed the levi. I want Sam to grow though, not keep back tracking. The character deserves growth after all he's been through.

Of course the fandom is in an uproar about the last scene - that Sam is always walking away from Dean. I'm just ignoring it. Noone can kill my squee over this epi :D:D

Lol at Dean wanting to steal the rims for Baby - but she just wouldn't look the same would she? Maybe it's time for Baby to have a change as well. (Jared did mention something about that at the last con - that they may be fixing her up)

Glad you liked it and we are def. in the same wavelength this season! Nothing I've seen so far has made me really angry or upset - it's all just a set up for future episodes and brotherly love and angst. I'll never get tired of that. They just need to kiss and make up right? LOLOLOL

OMG really?! *headdesk* Of all the times Sam has walked away I think this one was really needed. He didn't say "I'l leaving you forever"...it's just.."I need some time to accept what I've just heard. You think I am a nutcase, you still don't trust me, you killed someone I cared about and you didn't tell me". That's a lot to take in. He's a big boy. I'm sure it won't take long for him to sort it out. Plus. He won't want Dean hunting by himself so he will have to go back.

I'm happy with this level of angst rather than that really dark secret, hurty hurty stuff. There's still so much love in there.

Loved the Levia!Boss. He's smooth. It's interesting how crass he made Crowley look. Which yeah, Crowley is crass. I think in that respect he works perfectly as King of Hell.

Oooh... they're gonna change baby? Hmmm... that'll be interesting.

Woot!! Awesome season is awesome. (it was a new writer I believe..). I'm looking forward to the next one.

I loved it too, and I agree with your reaction to the end--it's in character and it's pretty damned reasonable, all things considered. Twice, Sam said the words "right now" (it was something like "I can't talk to you right now. I can't even be around you right now." This is temporary. He has to wrap his poor battered mind around it, figure out why Dean did what he did and how Sam can forgive him for it. It'll happen.

I know it will.

I didn't read the comments above, but my question indeed is why the Leviathans want to hurt people? Eating them I get, but to play with their food because they like the bitter taste... hm. It's as if they were the new, improved demons. And I would have likes new big bads who were completely indifferent and scary because of THAT.

Sam walking away: I felt as if Dean could have held him back if he had said his "Sorry, Sam!" differently, but I thought that this was Dean's way of taking Sam serious, of letting him have his way and respecting Sam's reaction. (The other possibility would have been that Dean had such a bad conscience that he just couldn't deal with Sam, but I still want to believe that Dean believes in what he did. That it was painful but necessary and therefore right. In a twisted way.)

The Leviathans certainly seem to come across as a "sophisticated" demon. Though, even they are having trouble killing the Winchesters. ;) I'm curious to see how they develop them - if there's more to see that is. I mean... how many are there? The could be "wearing" people all over the place. I do like the boss man I have to say.

And yeah. Good point re Dean. I think Dean probably does respect Sam's feelings at this time. The reason he didn't tell him is because he knew it would hurt him so he knew it was going to be bad when it hit the fan. I think Dean will still feel like he did the right thing with the killing but might not be feeling so great about not telling Sam.

I'm a tiny bit disappointed they found a means to hurt the Leviathans so soon. But I can handle it. And I wonder how many there are, too- and what lore the writers are referring to at this time, because in Christianity there is only one single Leviathan. But they never really cared about accurateness on SPN ;-).

And I like your distinction between the deed itself (the murder) and Dean's guilt about not telling Sam. Those boys need to talk. Or do something. Anything. I don't want to lose Dean to the booze. I don't think his refraining from dinking will be permanent. He is an addict by now, and I don't see how they will heal him from that without angelic help. (Imagine Sam hunting alone for the rest of the season while Dean is in rehab. I would so need a job in that institution...)

I'm thinking that Dean's drinking will be something that he will need to address this season. Not sure when though. I am surprised they didn't at least show him having a sip in this one. He seems to be a functioning alcoholic...but for how long?

I don't think he will ever be out of the picture. I'm am really curious to see what they will do with this. No matter what happens between them they still manage to hunt together. I always love seeing how they make it back to each other. :)

Yes, I heard it was a new writer. He passed the test and may stay. ;) I loved how so many little things were put into this ep without it becoming incoherent or confusing. Even though I had to watch it a second time to apprechiate it. I was so tired the first time but didn't realize it and thought: Why doesn't this ep speak to me? Have I grown tired of SPN?! (Best Halloween scare ever! hahaha) But no, my brain was too tired to take anything in. But the second time I was awake! :P \o/

Christ I was exhausted by the end.

I so loved the line of the levi!Dean who said something like 'you can keep the big one!' So funny to hear their banter and the burger being disgusting and Sam's salad being awful and Dean having a 'hero complex' and all that stuff.

An yeah, twas a My Little Pony I'm sure.

And Bobby, Bobby and Jody and that almost but not quite kiss, and then he gives her a freakin' head in a box! But then, he goes to almost, but not quite kiss her properly. But then, (they kill us with these 'but thens' dont they - darn Show! - but then Jody leaves with a smirk letting us know that that isn't the end for them unless they kill her off. Oh God they'd better not kill her off. Damn you writers, don't you dare!

And the song, and especially the bit right near the end where Dean turns away to do a facial!yeahyeah cos he loves it so much. And Sam's face!

Oh, and your idea bout the levi!Winchesters getting it on and making the title really meaningful in a slashy way - that would have been just too freakin' cool for cats! I think Show knew we would almost explode without that, and would all be so excited just by the title. If they'd gone with the levi!Dean/levi!Sam storyline I would certainly have internally combusted, just a goo on the ceiling would have been left is all - and I'm betting that a zillion other fangirls would also have exploded along with me, leaving them fangirlless!

Ooo, just toooooo toooooo much isn't it. I'm loving season seven, it's like they have found the path and are damned well gonna walk it. Just 'noooo, Sam, don't walk away again' - they just know though, don't they, that we need our boys together and okay with each other and to have those moments when they are together and okay with each other, truly, they have to give us lots of boys not together or okay with each other, truly. It's like having sunshine after rain, or rain after drought - you can't appreciate the one without plenty of the other. And the more of the other you have, the better the relief and joy when you get what you need/want.

Damn, I'm just squeed out here.

(oh oh - vids, yes, totally, the impact you have is huge - the feeling of watching a really good vid, to really good music is just amazing. I think it's because music is so emotive and you are doubling the impact, but more than doubling it by combining it with our boys and a ministory line in the vid. I have actually cried when I've watched vids - and I'm not an easy crier. And yours are so totally awesome - you give us a huge amount of pleasure Ash!)

Yay! More excitement for 7.06. :DD

I've watched it 3 times now. I rewatched more eps this season than any other. Well, other than S1!

I think just by having all the references to couples in love from the films (Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers and Mr and Mrs Smith) there's enough innuendo to read what we like into the levia!Winchesters.

And thanks for your lovely comment about the vids. I tend to watch vids a little differently now that I actually make them. The first vids I watched (before vidding) totally amazed me. I just loved how I felt when I watched them. I tend to look at vids these days looking at how they were made rather than getting completely lost in them. Though I do sometimes.
