Very serious observation.

I loved this episode for many, many reasons but it's little things like this that get me all excited! I find it fascinating that the boys sit down to chat to Travis and they roll up their sleeves together. The same way. At the same time when their sleeves DON"T NEED ROLLING UP! It looks like a shared nervous twitch - not sure if it's S&D's or J&J's. I can't help thinking J & J did this without knowing the other was going to do it. Either way. I love it. I love when they are so in tune with each other. :)
Thus ends my deep meta for episode 4.04. I hope no brains were damaged thinking about this!
On another note, and while I'm here, I hate having ideas for videos and NO SONG! Searching for a song to match an idea is almost impossible I've discovered. Anyway. Here's what floating around in the brain at the moment. Of course I have no time to make any of these - just wishful planning.
Ruby vid - heaven knows why because I was never a big fan but I wanted put together a little farewell to KC as Ruby vid. Something quick and kick ass. Then a friend gave me the song "Secret Agent" by Melissa Etheridge and if I do that it would be a little more involved.
Bobby vid - yep still searching for a song for that one!
Movie theme vid - So I have all these genre's I'd like to play with (Western, Noir, Schlock Horror, even Romcom) but no idea how to string it all together yet. My Western one is on the time line, but that's as far as I've got.
Dean as a daddy vid. Not sure why, but I have a hankering to do a somewhat nostalgic vid of Dean as a daddy. Again no song!
"Somewhere a Clock is Ticking" This time I have a song and I have an idea so this may just be the one that I start with. I know this song has been done, but as far as I can see from Dean's POV. I want to do Sam - looking at his own ticking clock. (though if anyone has seen this from Sam's POV, I'd been keen to know).
So. That's it. Well, that's enough!

Date: 2008-10-12 03:49 am (UTC)Oh, man. I'm gonna have to try and find song suggestions for the Dean as daddy and Bobby vids because I really want to see those. My problem is I listen mostly to country (don't laugh), so no help there I guess. I *had* been toying with the idea of doing a Bobby vid to "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" by Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, and Tracy Lawrence, but well, I suck at vidding. :-(

Date: 2008-10-12 04:08 am (UTC)You know, I'm thinking a country song would suit Bobby and I'll see if I can find that one to listen to - if that's ok?
Aww and Daddy!Dean - *desperately seeks song* I'd really like to do that one!
Thanks

Date: 2008-10-12 07:44 am (UTC)They seem to be mirroring each other more and more.

Date: 2008-10-12 08:12 am (UTC)It just intrigued me as to why they did this. I wonder if it was a conscience decision or an accident? If their mirroring reflects their characters or rather how in tune they are with each other as actors. Perhaps both. Hmm. Deep. I know!

Date: 2008-10-13 03:58 pm (UTC)Yepp, that's great! Thought I'd really be interested in knowing what's behind it, if it's planned and in the script, or just the Js being adorable . . . *gg*

Date: 2008-10-15 01:32 pm (UTC)Yeah - I'd love to know whether it was planned or not! I'll be keeping a look out for more of this in the future!

Date: 2008-10-14 10:45 pm (UTC)I'll have to give it some thought, but I might have some suggestions for the movie themed one.

Date: 2008-10-15 01:31 pm (UTC)At the moment I'm just listening to the 2 songs I have over and over and trying to form some sort of picture. I don't think I've opened my editor for 2 weeks - which is some sort of record for me!!
Love to hear your thoughts re the movie themed one. Can't have them watching them on TV - been there, done that. *g* So yeah any ideas would be cool. That vid's probably a long way off - but I can start thinking about it, can't I?!
Thanks.

Date: 2008-10-17 11:44 pm (UTC)"Close your eyes
Have no fear
The monster's gone
He's on the run and your daddy's here"
I don't know what episodes or clips you have in mind, but that verse would fit Dean saving Ben from the changelings or Michael from the shtriga.
What'd ya think?

Date: 2008-10-18 10:27 am (UTC)I've just listened to the song (I know it, but I wanted to feel if could work for SPN) and I think it has a lot of potential. Especially the last verse about being busy making other plans because I want it to be about Dean missing out on being a daddy. Thanks so much. I hope I have the actual time to make this!!
*hugs*

Date: 2008-10-18 06:43 pm (UTC)So, on the movie one. Were you thinking of making it like Channel Hopping, moving from one movie to another within the same vid? 'Cause I've got an idea how you could dissolve from one genre to another if that's the way you're thinking.
no subject
Date: 2008-10-19 01:00 am (UTC)Yep - with the movie one it's about how to move from one genre to the next. I don't want to use TV's because I've already done that. I've thought about a couple of things but I suppose until I actually sit down and do this I won't be able to see what works. But I'd be keen to hear what you think! :D
Thanks again for you help. :D

Date: 2008-10-20 12:03 am (UTC)I was thinking that you could use movie poster mock-ups the way you used TV screens in Channel Hopping. Have a poster on a wall somewhere in the clip you're currently in that shows a screencap of the first scene of the genre you're going into, like this (hopefully you'll have someone more talented than me make them ) :
Horror: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v309/DinaLori/MM_poster_final.jpg
RomCom: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v309/DinaLori/AATR_poster.jpg
Then transition into that clip.
Just a thought.

Date: 2008-10-20 08:08 am (UTC)In fact in Holly Babylon there's a scene where they have a large poster on the wall - I may be able to superimpose each poster over that one - or something like!
Ooooh, I'm all excited now!
I'm currently working on my Ruby vid - then I think it will be daddy dean, then possibly an S4 vid and then hopefully this one. Though I may work segments at a time.
Thanks so much!
Love the mock-ups. :D

Date: 2009-06-07 04:28 am (UTC)So thanks for the suggestion - it's been a very important part of the vid and has worked a treat I believe.
Just so you know.
