It's my day off and brain is full of fandom stuff... (of course!).



I love waking up and seeing my flist full of yummy things. A few days ago it was awash with AMAZING images of Jared at the beach (made my friggin' day!\o/)

This morning there was all the CW Upfront pics of the boys sporting their scruffy looks. Is it just me or does Jared look slimmer (um..gaunt even?) than usual? Might just be the look of the pic because he was certainly look super buff in the beach shost. I'm only musing this because I know the toll having a baby on board can take. I'm absolutely loving their complementary suits. And um... same shirt??? OH BOYS!!!

News is that Supernatural will now be aired on a Wednesday night. I'm pleased for the Show because apparently this is a much better time slot and shows the confidence the CW has in the show \o/. Not so great for watching in AUS because I will have to wait until Thursday evening to watch. But.. that's cool. I usually have Thursday nights to myself so it probably works out nicely. :)

The CW boss claims S8 won't be the last season. That's quite a statement and it's pretty exciting. Though I am worried about how they are going to find interesting stories - especially concerning the brothers and the season arc big bad. But as long as they keep both brothers the center focus (mostly... I get that they have to give them easier loads sometimes) I will be happy.

There is a S8 synopsis out but I am waiting until I've seen the finale because I read it as I am sure it will contain spoilers for the last ep. I pretty much jump all over new season spoilers because that hiatus is LONG! I am desperate to see where they plan to go.




FINALE! ACK!!.... I'm scared. I'm scared about what they are going to do. I shouldn't be... I should just TRUST...but there seems to be so many open threads leading to this last episode I am scared they are going to be doing some cramming. WE SHALL SEE!! I'm watching it with some fellow fans so I'm sure there will be lots of dissecting immediately afterwards. \o/

I was actually about a 3.5-4.0 yesterday, but then someone posted a vid (http://growyourwings.livejournal.com/584910.html) showing a unique way of showcasing Chuck's speech from S5 finale and that got me looking at all the seasons finale openings and listening to Carry On My Wayward Son and I got all EXCITED!

So I'm now a 5, thank you very much.

Um... yeah... I think I am mostly concerned about the bracket part also. I mean, they could do some interesting stuff with that but I really not that interested in watching him coming to grips with all his issues. Sure - give some stuff (if they have to) but let's not have entire scenes. (ooohh....I think I just grumbled too. I will save them until AFTER the ep. But hopefully there won't be any...)

And... yikes... splitting the boys up. That would suck unless it created some super angst or something. If they ever "go their separate ways" for more than an ep or two I will be seriously struggling. They might do it to create a cliffy for the next season I suppose. Dammit! That means heartbreak. Though we haven't had that much this season so we are probably due for some.

ah, yes, the plot twist known as Super Angst (dun dun dun...) I'm like you, SO many thoughts, but they'll have to wait til after. I think it all comes down to Angst I Can Live With v Angst I Can't. but when have they ever gone up against the season's big bad without some serious heart!fail? or without killing somebody! in fact, a Winchester Death is a few seasons overdue already. aaaiiii....

anyway, that's really cool that you're watching with fannish people in real life :) I dl it and try to sink my video up with a friend's while we IM :P

I'm dreading that feeling. I figure it will happen one day. There are some places that Show could go that would leave me feeling *meh*. I hope they don't though.

The last ep was pretty good (for me, better than the previous one. That left me feeling very underwhelmed. Even after reading some positive reviews on it.)

Ridiculous as it may sound, I had a really really really hard time with the resolution for Sam's hell wall. I think I might just need to rewrite the damn thing to get it out of my system!

That's not ridiculous at all. I'm pretty disappointed with the way they resolved Sam's Hell wall too. I've been hoping that there's something else yet to come. There's no way that it can all be over in one touch of Cas's hand. And THEN for nothing to come of it. Sam is magically better and suddenly it's as if 100+ years in hell never happened. I realise they can't dwell on it, but it just ended so suddenly. I was at least grateful that we did mental institute!Sam. That was rather satisfying. (but no real bromoments came out of that either...)

I think I might just need to rewrite the damn thing to get it out of my system!

I've been a 5 all season long!!! I want my SPN ep and I want it now, dammit!!!!!!!!!!!! A 4 month hellatus is going to be pure hell and we all know hell time is about 10 times longer than real time which is just gonna make it even worse.

Can't wait to watch the finale tomorrow with you and Kris. Just hope we can keep the squeeing to a minimum, at least during the first viewing. Will have the coffee and apple pie all warmed up & ready to go.

If you haven't already, I would avoid the Jared vid from upfronts. He says some rather spoilery things regarding S8 that I really wish I hadn't heard. I've seen others on my flist thinking that Jared is perhaps just speculating and without going into spolier territory, I'm sorta hoping he's both right and wrong. Guess we'll know more this time tomorrow.

I haven't listened to Jared's upfronts yet. I don't really mind being spoiled for S8 - there's no way I can wait for 4 months and not know what we are in for. I think I've read some spoilers about that anyway. I'm not sure he'd really know anyway. I doubt they have cemented next years stories yet. My big concern is that they may lessen his work load due to him having a baby. Not sure, but it would be a shame to have to see less of him.

At least we'll have a better idea after the show.

Mine too. I'm usually just trying to take everything in on first watch. On second I can take more notice of details.

Am sure there will be at least some pausing/rewind-replaying going on.

I won't be able to watch it until Saturday, but I'M SO NERVOUS.

I'm worried about Bobby and the Impala. And I know ((not really, just assuming)) they're going to leave Sam and Dean on the edge of some precipice, I just hope they're together on that edge.

Plus, I'm worried about stuff mentioned in other comments about other possible story lines. Another one could be... what if Bobby saves Crowley? That would be rather awesome, but it would take up SO MUCH TIME.

Yes yes... so many things that could happen. I've been hoping that they don't try to resolve the Bobby thing in this episode... as well as confront Dick and sort out Cas and worry about Meg etc. etc.

And I'm sure they will have to leave the boys in some precarious position. Arghhhhhh

They'sve made a commitment for beyond season 8? Wow, that's - unexpected? I guess I believe it once that has translated into an actual seaonson order (because TV execs talk a lot of bullshit to promote their stuff). But if it's true, it's kind of exciting, because it means that they have a lot of time to work towards a clear end point which normally means better plot and nicely wraped up story lines. That would be a yay (even though it means knowing when it'll end....)

I really hope they know when they are ending. With a show like this (and the following it has) it would only be fair to give us a solid ending. I dread them ending it thinking they have another season only for the plug to be pulled (hee... I think the fan uproar would be pretty massive).

But yeah.... looks positive for more seasons. Apparently the move to Wednesday night is a good sign also.

I'm just too nervous to get excited - honestly, I don't think they've done much of a set up for the final and I have this feeling that it's going to seem a bit rushed and a hell of a lot of time taken up with Meg, Crowley and Castiel. I think by now everyone knows I'm only happy when it's Sam and Dean and the IMPALA - *weeps* - as much fun as it's been seeing them in all these different vehicles - I WANT BABY BACK! NOW!

Bobby, there's that to be settled too, unless some of that is being saved for next season. Honestly, the decision to exorcise him or not, might not make a very good season ender for me, as we've already kind of lost him once.

Most of all I want the cliff hanger, if there is even a cliff hanger, to be about one of the brothers - I need that - I admit I'm weird that way, but unless they're so tied up in each other they're not thinking straight then I'm unsatisfied.

I'm avoiding ALL those interview vids, there's rumblings about them that I haven't been able to avoid and maybe after the show tomorrow I'll get around to watching them, but probably not, cast interviews don't really interest me, I'll check around for summaries though.

Change of day won't bother me as long as I can find some kind soul who's uploaded - might take me longer to do some of the conversions, I always have more time Saturday mornings for those, but I don't think many are as stuck for the different files as they used to be.

Past season 8? Of course I want show to go on forever! Hehe, however, I also need the cast to be happy about that, trap anyone into a contract or on a show they're not happy about and sorry, but no matter how good an actor they are it leaks through and it will hurt the show for me. So yes, bring on season 9 but ONLY if Jared AND Jensen are totally 100% happy to stay with the show. I'm probably going to get blasted for this but if either of them are not 100% committed, if one of them or both of them agrees to do another season but only so many episodes or something like that? Then I might just bail. It would hurt like hell, but better that than watching in frustration and venting frequently about how it used to be... ack! I say that now, but could I stop watching? Hm, maybe not, but I'd probably disconnect from current fandom and catch up on everything I've missed down the past 8 years!

Agreed. The day it becomes about one bro (say 5 eps with one of them out of the picture) then it will lose it's pull for me. It's always been about them for me so anything short of that will leave me dissatisfied. I mean, I can take an episode like Weekend at Bobby's - little of the boys in it but the episode held together nicely and the bit we did have was great.

I too worry that it's going to be a Meg, Crowley and Cas thing. At the moment they are the only ones who seem to have character issues left up in the air. I don't mind that exactly, but if it become the major thrust of the whole episode then I'm afraid my review my not be a squeeful as I'd like it to be.

But. I shall reserve judgement. If it's awful then at least there is next year to look forward to. The producers know the show has been successful because of those two so they surely can't change that formula. Surely....

I'm totally at Defcon 5. The blurb for S8 is not spoilery; it's just vague and sounds like every other blurb.

I am hoping for a monumental cliffhanger! I'm unspoiled, but I hope that one of them gets sucked into Purgatory, and then the other will have to go get him. That way, there will be the hat trick of Hell, Heaven and Purgatory.

Excited and nervous. Sometimes I think 'What if it's all about Castiel and I just don't care?' And then I think 'If it isn't all about Castiel, they're going to do something awful to Sam or Dean (or both) because they always do, and I'm going to spend the next several months worrying about them'. Then I realise my stomach is in knots, and I just have to deal with the fact that I'm invested. :)

The season eight synopsis amused me. Bad stuff will happen, and Sam and Dean will have to deal with it, because who else is suicidal enough to get involved in this never-ending nightmare? :)

I would rather them do something awful to Sam and Dean (hee... can't believe I just said that...) than have it be all about Cas - or Meg, Crowley etc. I want some mortal danger, but I can't see them killing anyone off because they have already all been killed. ;/

I ended up reading the synopsis and yeah...nothing surprising there! Hee.... there will be danger!

I was worried it might say something like..."After killing Dick and the Leviathans and being sucked into Purgatory, Sam and Dean must...."
