I have a heap of recs I want to post. I had epic fail with everything fan related last night so I shall try again tonight.

I lost (most probably deleted) my entire S4 motels post for the SuperWiki Motels entry. All the coding, links and info. A huge amount of work just friggin' gone. Sucks big time. I just don't know when I'll have the motivation to do it all again. /o\ *sigh* Maybe in a few weeks.

Ah man I *hate* when that happens - that so sucks. I can certainly understand the lack of motivation to do it again. So sorry.

But THANK YOU for those art recs. *stares* Gorgeous - both the art and the subject matter. And I'm with you with the Tumblr fail - I just have so much trouble over there (and it doesn't help that for some reason so many of Tumblr blogs are this tiny font in grey against a light background. *feeling very old* Thank god for the ability to ctrl + to expand the font sizes.

I keep wanting to just "get" Tumblr... and sometimes I think I do, but it seems so ..um...detached or something. Amazing and incredible work there though. Some of those gifs are just outstanding. I just wish I could (easily) see who the original poster was and connect with that person rather than the reblogger.

Um..yeah...might be an "age" thing...My daughter has absolutely no poroblem getting into it...

Sometimes it bums me that a lot of fandom is now focused on Tumblr. Even though I'm not as active on LJ as I once was, the great thing about LJ is it's ability to foster connections and community. It doesn't seem to me like Tumblr (or even FB to an extent) is such a place. I cannot imagine starting anew in a fandom and doing it through Tumblr. Sure, I'd get all kinds of information and a lot of fantastic images - but I'm not so sure I'd learn much about the people I was getting that information from.
