When I made Heaven's Door I wasn't aware that Katie Cassidy was not returning as Ruby, so she wasn't in it. For some reason I wanted to make a little tribute vid to her (especially when I started to hear how much she was being missed) and when "Secret Agent" was suggested to me I just couldn't resist it.

It was a nice change vidding material I don't usually work with. I set out mainly to make it a tribute - just kinda stringing some Katie clips together, but it ended up being more of a character study - due to the song. So I think of it as a bit of both. :)

Man, I was so happy so see this, as in, an Ash vid! It's 6.30am, crook last night, still nauseous this am, been up since before sparrow's fart, 'cos can't sleep, and kids up in 1/2 hour, and it all starts soon, so THANK YOU! OMG, and sorry for pity party, shee!

To the vid - I love Katie Cassidy's Ruby, and watching made me realise why - she's tall enough to genuinely bring it up to Sam and Dean. She was a no-bullshit kinda girl...ummm...demon, and I loved her. The tension between her Ruby and Dean was tangible. KC's Ruby is missed by me, but I can see why story-wise they needed a new actress.

Congratulations on great sync of edit and music! Excellent selection of song; lyrics so appropriate and it worked excellently. I think of time spent to on editing details, and still in awe! The red washes totally set the mood of her character - beautiful! (If I say this is wonderful as usual, is that a cop out! Oh, shut-up and let me fangirl, I'm sick!)

*hugs* Nothings worse then getting up crook and then having to deal with kids. I'm crook too - so we can share our "crookness" together.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I think after doing this I have more of an appreciation for KC as Ruby. She annoyed me in the show initially but I grew to really like her and it's a shame she gone. It would have been really interesting to see her develop the character.

I have to say I did spend a lot of time with getting the editing right on this - I'm not much of an "effects" vidder so I try to get the cutting right as best I can. The fight scenes were the hardest.

But your comment makes it all worthwhile so thank you. :D
