This is a rather personal vid for me. redteekal was lucky enough to attend Nerd HQ recently and she and her partner took some absolutely gorgeous pictures of Jared. In a recent post redteekal related a story by Jared told about Gen and Thomas and mentioned a song Jared relates to his experience of fatherhood. I thought it might be nice to put the pics together with that song.

I then watched all the Nerd HQ and couldn't helped adding a couple of extra bits. ;)

It's really just a way to try and capture some moments from the event and put the pictures in a video. It also meant I could stare at those gorgeous pics as often as I want *g*.

(And I've earmarked this song for a SamnDean vid. Just saying).

I've been so behind on LJ that I hadn't seen the panel or any of this. This vid is just absolutely beautiful. Can this man get anymore adorable? I tell you, I've been married a very long time and have teenage and twenty-something kids, and the last several years I've been in NO hurry for grandchildren, definitely glad I don't have babies of my own. But this gorgeous kid (Jared's a kid to me)...he just blows me away. Makes me look forward to my kids bringing home partners and having babies with them, just to see this kind of love and awe again.

And I am so with you here! I've been going through this strange period of thinking - that, when the time comes, I can see the joy of be a grandparent (god! I never thought I'd hear myself say that!). It's kinda lovely seeing Jared discovering that joy and knowing what he's going through. I do get the sense, when I listen to him, that it hasn't all been smooth sailing - because having a child isn't smooth. It's hard work.

I'm so glad you liked the vid hun. <3
