Not long now!!

It's the start of my holidays and I'm feeling bouncy. Not only because it's holiday time but because this time next week I shall have watched the first episode of S8 of my fav show. With other fans! \o/ (There's no way the CW will postpose the premiere is there?! I shall cry if they do that...).

Back to the bouncy...

@superwiki (on twitter) posed the question what do you want to see in S8. I honestly didn't think I had a list, but it would seem I do...



What I would like to see (in no particular order):

- Impala washing
- Laundry sorting
- Sam finding his purple, whippet t-shirt (probably wouldn't fit him now...;D).
- Dean finding his original leather jacket (I know, I know...that's not gonna happen)
- Dean finding his ring and bracelets and that necklace thing he wore for a while..;)
- Sam and Dean remembering that they have a younger brother still in the cage
- Mothman (still! been on my list since S2)
- Dean cutting Sam's hair (while he's sleeping)
- Dean gently sweeping aside Sam's bangs (because we need fanfic in the show!)
- Stitching each others' wounds (we got close in S7! We saw the stitches Dean did... \o/)
- Seeing the first aid kit
- More kick-ass Cas (being all protective of both Sam and Dean)
- JODY! Charlie!
- Smart boys
- gagged!boys (I mean COME ON! One for Dean and two for Sam in seven years?! That's not
nearly enough).
- Baking, cooking, making coffee for each other. Put them in a kitchen!
- Road side beers *happy sigh*
- IMPALA in every episode! (HOMG, totally missed her last year)
- Picnics (that's not soppy. They can picnic in a manly way)
- CREEPY, creepy episodes
- More horror film homages (I'd love to see a SPN take on Hitchcock's "The Birds". "Evil Dead" and "Hellraiser" would be cool also )
- tied up!boys (please!)
- Action, Adventure, Angst (no worries about that one I'm sure)
- De-aged (Sam or Dean I don't care).
- Body swap (for realz!)
- Lucifer - like WHOA!
- Trust between the boys
- fighting back to back - literally
- fighting back to back - figuratively
- Jared and Jensen in Sam and Dean's world (This question was raised in a con and the idea is tantalizing....)
- More "What Is / The End / Terrible Life" worlds. I love them.
- All the hurt!
- Hypothermia - one has to body warm the other. (Shut up! That could happen...)
- AWESOME MOTEL ROOMS! An Elvis theme has to come up one day. A Star Wars theme would be beyond cool (and poignant).
- Car sleeping
- Car talking
- Dean remembering Lisa and Ben
- Hell remembering for both of them
- More about what happened to hallucifer
- DEATH! Love that character
- Protective!boys
- Heaps of bromance!
- New, interesting OC's (who survive!)
- Aaaaand, something I haven't even imagined

I can't even begin to think about what I want from post Purgatory Sam and Dean. I'll take what they give me. :)) I figure Bobby is really gone, but surprise!bobby would be cool. Too much to wish for surprise!John, Ellen, Ash or Jo I think.

None of the above is essential for my enjoyment of the show. That's just a fun wish list. I hope to be surprised, entertained, warmed and excited by each episode. I'm sure some will be a hit and some will be a miss. Usually just having Jared and Jensen's faces grace my screen that's enough.

Hee..I got upset, felt better, then felt really good and now I'm back to feeling worried again. I keep telling myself I am just going to wait and see, but it's sooooooo hard. And damn them having all these new spoilery interviews lurking about.

I enjoyed the Leviathans but looking back I think I was hoping for a lot more out of them. The idea of them was great I thought - I'm just not sure they worked it all out and by the end it kinda fizzled. The thing is, they're not gone (only Dick), so I am curious if they are going to address that properly or have some quick fix so they can move on.

There wasn't a lot of real scares last season (in terms of monsters), so I'm hoping we get some really scary stuff happening.

I think it was the "estate agents" episode that really did it for me...I just hated the stupid.

As for the spoilers - ack, they do worry me - a lot, I'm not above saying I freaked when I read them. Dean/Lisa was not my cup of tea, Sam/love-of-his-life interests me even less - and that's me, I know it is and I know a lot of fans will want Sam to have a SO, think he's deserved his 'normal' (shit, how I detest that word) life, would like to see him in that situation, learn about how he copes, but it's not for me. *shrugs* I'm in this show, this fandom for the freaks and weird stuff - that IS my normal, I'm not a spouse and sprogs kind of person, so I don't like watching tv about it.

It's hard too as to really make a show *my show* - I kind of need fandom and yet right now there's so much of this fandom I don't and can't relate to. At times fandom seems very close to imploding and it's harder to find a quiet corner. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, some very strange shit floats across my bows in fandom waters - I ignore it as much as possible, but it's getting loud and over powering.

I ran through my worst case scenarios and what would make me walk on this show, hearing the spoilers from Jared and co at CC, I'm pretty close, but then I think - yeah, Jared never, ever seems to be on the same page with me and Sam. However, if the love-of-his-life turns up, in real time half way through the season heavily pregnant and the season 8 cliffy is the six month birthday of baby Sammy? Won't see me for dust. Most other things I can cling on a bit longer, hope for fix-it fics and stick my head in the sand. New family commitments/next generation/? Nope, give me fucked up co-dependent brothers living outside society every time, but like you, I'm not sure how they do that for another 2 or 3 seasons.

So, yeah, avoiding the spoilers and hoping show concentrates on pushing the main driving force of the show and character development on the brothers and how they care for each other, gives me a whole season to look forward to. I'm battening down the hatches though - as Bobby would say - "There's a storm coming..."

I haven't heard any whisperings about babies! I am pretty sure they won't be making this anything long term. I doubt they'll even make it as long term as Lisa and Ben. From the stuff I've read I'm not too worried about he romance angle. Knowing Sam's record she'll probably die at some point (not that I'd wish that on an OC!).

I've still feeling pretty excited that they are thinking up actual story lines for the boys. They may indeed not be what we want initially, but I think they are committed to telling us a story that will ultimately be about SamnDean. Will the potential of soooo many episodes I suppose they have to come up with something to keep us (annoyed) interested. :)

I'm actually hoping for a little bit of mirroring. I'd love something to be "up" with Dean when he returns - something we won't know about for a while. But that's just me I'm sure...;)

Hee! No, no, no, me either! I'm just saying, seems I'm in for watching this show right to the end - unless they did something like that!

I agree with you on the story lines though, I would have been far happier throughout season seven if more things involved Sam and Dean and not so much revolved around them instigated by secondary characters. I think that stagnated them and separated them from me more than anything, I want them to move forward, I don't mind them at opposite ends of the spectrum for a while, but in the end everything has to be about them and them working together for a plausible reason , with some scary spooky shit going down - yummy - I hope!

I'm not sure what I really want - something "up" with Dean you say? Might be good, jar me out of my funk, I think there's got to be some good twists and turns along the way, far more than spoilers are ever going to reveal and that's good, why I'm staying back from spoilers again - (although - yes- as you pointed out, those interviews - *sniff* - sooo tempting) mostly I think I just want something to inspire me to vid again. I still have that season ender just started and sitting on my time line and I still hate it and know I won't ever touch it again (because stupid me here decided to read the Comic Con stuff). New season, new vid maybe and I can get back on track.

It's been a long hiatus, but then again, aren't they all?
