Vid comment:

For some reason this song popped into my brain and I started vidding it before I really had a plan for it. I started with a string of feel good bro!moments and found I was regurgitating clips I'd used a gazillion times before. So I dumped all those and started actually thinking about what I was doing. I settled on Season 4. A kind of happy, feel goodish, bro!love vid and considering they are at odds with each other this season it became a bit of a task.

I always had in mind to juxtapose the "you've got a friend in me" lyric at the beginning with them fighting. I then basically used the lyrics as a guide to develop the vid. But it was always missing something. I showed the lovely deirdre_c a first draft with the intro missing (because I just couldn't figure out what to do there - I had an idea in my head but I couldn't make it work). She then suggested something (that I won't share for fear of spoilers) and that was it! It crystalised the idea and it not only helped with the opening but helped shaped the vid.

But it was still missing something. sharvie suggested it having a little more emotional resonance (instead of just have then look at each other adoringly! :) ). I tweaked a couple of things to give it (hopefully) a wee bit of emotion as well as all the fun, friendship and love.

Phew. Vidding is wonderful fun but frustrating too. I still look at this and want to tweak it but there comes a time when you just have to say enough is enough.

Comments are cherished - even congrit. I'm half way to the vidder I want to be - the other half will come with more practice - I hope! :D

Wow, what a marathon effort, Sarah. I find that my videos end up starting off crappy, and I eventually come out of my senses and change it to something else that's more decent. My vids tend to evolve like yours do too! Hence, why mine take so damn long to finish!
