Just want to make sure I haven't missed any...

The times Sam voluntarily leaves Dean (as in he makes a conscious, un-supernaturally affected choice to take a break or do something by/for himself). And same for Dean...


Sam:

1. To go to college
2. Scarecrow - to look for John
3. Hunted - to find answers about himself/"special" children
4. Good God Y'All - to straighten himself out after the demon blood addiction
5. Swan Song - to save the world/redeem himself
6. Slash Fiction - when he finds out Dean killed Amy.

Dean:

1. Pilot - at Sam's request (not sure if that counts)
2. Time is on my side - to chase a lead when Sam wants to stay.
3. The End...Hmmm, not sure if this counts. He chooses not to get back together with Sam after Sam tells him he wants back in.
4. 99 Problems - leaves to say yes to Michael
5. Blood Brother...Hmm... only leaves to help Benny, not leaving for good, though does leave to do something for himself.

In Time For A Wedding Sam apparently decides to go camping on his own and foregoes their annual (never before heard of) Vegas trip.

In The Girl Next Door he leaves Dean behind to help out Amy.

Edit: Oh, not sure if you want to count that, but in When The Levee Breaks Sam leaves Dean behind to go with Ruby. He also sneaks out of the panic room earlier.

Oh yes...the Vegas camping. So weird. Hmm...no visual stuff for that one (and as this is for a pic spam that'll be tricky0. Might pretend he never did that.../o\

And yeah - I'll have to think about that Amy one. I think I'm going to mostly focus on times when he plans to leave for a while. Which means I'll have to take out the Dean leaving to help Benny if that's the case....

Though levee is tricky also. I'm wondering if Sam is somewhat "under the influence" - of both Ruby and the demons blood. Though, he has made the decision to follow a certain path that doesn't involve Dean. eek...

Yeah, if you narrow it down to choices where Sam or Dean didn't plan on ever going back, you'll have a very short list. LOL It would include Stanford, Sam jumping into the cage and Dean saying yes to Michael. It could also be argued that Dean making the deal for Sam's life in AHBL II was a choice that ultimately entailed leaving Sam forever, even if that wasn't foremost on Dean's mind at that moment.

As for When The Levee Breaks, Sam was high on power and he was angry, so surely his decision wasn't a rational one, but I would still maintain that it was a conscious choice on Sam's part. :)

Hmmm...so it'll probably be a mix between leaving forever (college, swan song and 99 problems) or leaving for a decent break (scarecrow, hunted...). I'm not sure where to put Levee Breaks yet... Sam definitely had his own agenda - but there were some outside manipulating forces at work (damn that phone call! AND Cas opening the door.!!)

I can make a case that Sam originally didn't plan to leave forever when he went to college. He told Dean that he only wanted to go to college, it was John that insisted it be permanent "If you go, don't come back". I contend that Sam meant to be like every other college kid, coming back for Thanksgiving, Christmas break, Spring break and three months in the summer. John threw him out. Yes, Sam could have given into John's demands, but he didn't plan to go forever.

You missed teen Sam running away in Flagstaff (when he had Bones the doggie) and lived on junk food for two weeks

Are you counting all the times in Season 4 when Sam left Dean to meet up with Ruby?? Or was that the influence of the demon blood??

There was also Long Distance Caller when Sam left Dean to go check on Lani. Dean was left waiting for what he thought was their Dad phone call (make sense?)

Oh yes, there was that one. Hmm...I'm probably going to stick to moments after the show starts. Which will probably even include Stanford...hmm...not sure. I'll have to ponder that one.

And no, I don't think I'll count the sneaking out with Ruby because he always came back. Same with Lani - he planned to come back so probably won't count that one. (which means I could probably remove a couple of Dean's as he always planned to come back.

This is mostly for Sam anyway - but I was interested to do a comparison.

I thought that might be a bingo fill! We have someone signed up for that square, but we've always emphasized that more than one person can fill a square. (In fact, *I* even have one in progress that could fit that square. Maybe we need a prize for the most fills per square - LOL!)

I always think anyone who can fill one should just go for it, because there's no telling if someone who pledged to complete something might have to back out or not.

If you post before Aug 20 or so, we can include it in the newsletter special bingo section! You go, girl!

I've been tossing up between a few things - I saw that someone had that square, but I knew we were accepting multiples on each square (though ideally I'd love to do one that hasn't been snagged).

I'd really love to be able to make the Scars vid but it's just not cooperating. I then started working on a Scars gif/picspam but narrowing down all the things that have left Sam scarred was doing my head in!! (how to narrow them down!?!)....

Ha! Anyway...I'll have a play and see what comes up. :))

I think they did it to match Sam choosing Ruby over Dean (Dean choosing Crowley over Sam). The ep isn't a favorite, but I like parts of it. We did get some epic Sam bitchfaces, lol.

Oh yes. I always think of Sam leaving Dean, but he offers Sam's the keys to the impala but he choses to stay with Lisa. (*heart breaks*)
