Pondering the need for a spn_gifs comm? You know, somewhere to link gif posts, or rec tumblr gifs...Or is enough that there is tumblr all ready...?

Oooh ooh while I'm here. If you a fan of The Professionals (you know that CI5 show that was on forever ago featuring the dynamic due of Bodie and Doyle) AND a Supernatural fan you HAVE to read callistosh65's crossover fic Beam Me Up. It's an absolutely delightful meshing of two completely different worlds. I was curious how on earth she would plausibly get Sam and Dean into the 80's spy world - but wow! she did - and did so brilliantly. Go read!!

hi, there is a comm called spn_animated at livejournal. But it seems to be dead. I used to post my animations over there, but at one point it seemd as if I was the only one still posting. So I stopped going there.

I think setting up another gif comm wouldn`t hurt.

Would it be for tumblr gifs/reccs only? Or open for everyone to post what they have done also? Because I`m still looking for a good place to post/link my anis, beside tumblr *whistles*

I see it as a place that people could post and link anything gif related. So if you've made some gifs and you want to share them you could either post them there or add a link (like at spn_picspam). I think it could also house animated icons, banners etc. Maybe even tumblr gif recs... Maybe even gif tutorials....;)

well, going by what you`ve just described, the comm could be my new happy place :D

as you might know, the little moving graphics are an addiction of mine, I also have done a tutorial for making gifs, and links for a lot of great gif tutorials at tumblr.

so, yeah, if you create a comm like this, I`d join right away :D

and yes to including everything gif related. Lately it`s not easy to find new animated icons, it seems by now most people who do gifs focus on tumblr graphics only.

There are a lot of gifs at tumblr, and I think that`s one of the main problems I`m having with tumblr. It`s just too much.
To have a place where someone could post own stuff, and links to favorite gifs, tutorials aso, this would make it easier to browse, and to find something new.
