Day Seven: Favourite Angel (other than Cas)
My top pick would have to be Lucifer - assuming he can be counted. If not, then I did enjoy hating Zachariah and his pettiness. Next in line would be Naomi. I liked her ambiguousness (and the actress seems rather lovely).

I would say my favourites would probably be Lucifer because I enjoyed the menace he oozed and he made for an interesting character. I also thought Balthazar and Anna were quite interesting.
I can't say I like Naomi though I loathe the retconning they did to both the angel mythology in general and Castiel's backstory this season and I can't separate my dislike of that from Naomi who I associate strongly with it.

Date: 2013-09-20 12:28 am (UTC)Yeah, I have to say I wasn't thinking of it in terms of the actual story telling I suppose - more just who I liked to watch on the screen - though I did like that we didn't know what her agenda was. And in the end I felt she was neither good or bad - just...messed up. Which, I think was the whole point of giving us her - to show us how the angels have lost their way. (I think?)
I admit to losing track of the angel story lines generally. To this day I don't really know how the angel myth arc works.
And hun - want to give you the heads up on my next post. We've only just met and I have loved getting to know you - but I'm not a huge fan of the angel story line, nor , er...Cas. I will be giving my reasons in the next post - but just so you know. I respect everyone's feelings on the characters and I love that we all feel differently about them. :)) I did mention I have a messy relationship with Cas - I'm going to attempt to explain why. ;)

Date: 2013-09-19 06:04 pm (UTC)Lucifer and Zachariah are certainly great choices though. Naomi is a tricky one for me despite her great performance because to me she is so much a Stargate character. I watched that show so much. Made it hard for me to really see her as Naomi only.

Date: 2013-09-20 12:40 am (UTC)I think they make the assumption that Cas is everyone's favourite angel...;)) I also think they excluded Cas because there was an opportunity in one of the earlier questions to list him as a fav character (other than Sam or Dean). Maybe..? I'm not sure where the questions came from actually...
And that's a good point about Naomi. I never did watch Stargate so I didn't have that connection - I imagine it would make quite a difference. And I think I've been swayed by a recent con interview I watched - she seems so lovely.
And...ack! *runs away*....avoid my next post sweetie! (though I think you know how I feel about Cas anyway...)
