ash48Day 23: Favourite Winchester family member other than Sam or Dean
I see the choice as either John, Mary, Adam, Henry or the Impala (shuddup - she's totally a Winchester). There's also Dean's daughter from Slice Girls - but yeah, I don't think she can be counted even though she's officially a Winchester.
I actually really like all the Winchesters but if I HAD to pick a favourite it would be John. Mainly because he's such a driving force in the show. He's shaped the boys' characters and has such a major impact on the SPN 'verse. He's complex. layered and interesting. He was hard on his boys, but for a good reason. I think we have to believe they have survived so long because of him (and the fans of course, but that's a different story).
One of my favourite moments is in Dead Man's Blood when Sam and John share a laugh together. I think we see a glimpse of the real man and his deep love for both his boys. He was messed up - but that's what makes him so damn interesting.
I think Mary is also an interesting character. Though I always think about how her making that one deal changed the course of all of their lives (which, yay - we wouldn't have a story without it). It's very cool that she was a hunter. Though I think a shame that the Campbells as a family were represented in such a bad light (I wanted to see more of Gwen in particular).
