Vid notes

This idea came to mind when Jensen mentioned that Supernatural was like a Western. My thought was "yes, as well as many other genres". I've been sitting on it since October last year, never really sure how to make it work. Recently I decided to have another play and when maichan808 agreed (again) to help me with the graphics I was inspired to go back to it.

I haven't included all the genres I could have. I was gazumped by "Monster Movie" for Classic Horror so I didn't re-visit that one. And I'm sure there are a few others I could have done but 6 was enough!

No money made but comments are always gratefully (and warmly) accepted.

Thanks. Hmm..... hadn't thought of a sequel... let's see: (this is how I brainstorm...)
Pink Panther - music is great and could use clips from Red Sky at night.... lots of slapstick potential...
Indiana Jones - hmmm, I thought about that for this one, but it's been done a bit so I usually stay away. But it does have great potential...
Star Wars - man - that might be tough! Though I suppose the demons could be the stormtroopers, YED as darth (or maybe John?, Leah - Jo? of course Han and Luke go without saying! :D Though I think this has been done heaps too!

Marry me. This is so utterly amazing - I love how Supernatural can be twisted so many different ways by vidders in general, but you manage to twist it into a million different styles all on your own. Bravo for the creativity, and bravo for maichan's fantastic movie posters!

I showed it to my husband, who's a huge movie and SPN fan, but not so much into vidding. He immediately started providing narration. *grins*

I am so glad you thought so. This is exactly the idea behind this. I wanted to "demonstrate" I suppose, just how good SPN is at using a variety of genres. I always see the "noir" elements in the show (their multiple use of shadow and light and fans) and wanted to capture all those moments in one vid.

One of the best Supernatural videos I've ever seen. It's so awesome! The transitions into the different genres really really works. I think the slapstick section was my favourite, but that's just cause I like to see them fall over stuff.
