maichan Wow. Where do I start? The movie posters, the opening and closing title sequences, the movie names and some song suggestions. There is no way this video would have happened without her valuable assistance. Thank you SO MUCH hun.
_sharvie_ My awesometasical beta. Quite a bit of research went into this one and
_sharvie gave me much needed assistance with that. Not to mention her wonderful ideas and incredible eye for detail. Thanks as usual darlin'.
deirdre_c For her suggestion of slapstick - it never occurred to be until she mentioned it. Also for her valuable feedback on that section. *smish*
dinalori For her suggestion of using movie posters to transition the genres. This vid was dead in the water until that idea. :D
Vid notes
This idea came to mind when Jensen mentioned that Supernatural was like a Western. My thought was "yes, as well as many other genres". I've been sitting on it since October last year, never really sure how to make it work. Recently I decided to have another play and when
maichan808 agreed (again) to help me with the graphics I was inspired to go back to it.
I haven't included all the genres I could have. I was gazumped by "Monster Movie" for Classic Horror so I didn't re-visit that one. And I'm sure there are a few others I could have done but 6 was enough!
No money made but comments are always gratefully (and warmly) accepted.

Thanks again hun. Always love hearing from you.

Date: 2009-06-11 01:07 pm (UTC)You know I adore everything you do but ever since this was just a twinkle in your mind's eye, I knew this would be something special and you delivered in a big way.
Congrats, babe! You hit it out of the park. All the way OUT! SQUUUEEEEE!!!! *\o/*
Plus, I think you are just the sweetest ever to make sure everyone involved feels appreciated. *squishes you so tight*
I wish I had another SPN icon right now cause "Rock On!" so doesn't cover the amount of squee this needs. :P

Date: 2009-06-11 02:09 pm (UTC)You know you enabled this yeah? I was thinking about this before and thought back to how that Western section was sitting in my file forever and then I showed it to you asking if you thought it had any potential? You said absolutely and well, the rest is history. So thanks for that.;) I'm kinda glad I got this one out of my system..... :)
Thanks for EVERYTHING! (I'm so glad it comes across that I want peps involved appreciated... that's really important to me. These things don't happen in isolation....and all that behind the scenes stuff can go un-noticed).
*mega smish* (Phew.... think I'll take a wee break now...)

Date: 2009-06-11 01:44 pm (UTC)ASH! You are MY WONDERWALL!!! For serious, I love every single thing you do so, so much, and this is no exception. You (and Maichan) are outrageously talented to be able to take this concept and make it ROCK SO HARD. Every individual piece is so clever and well-constructed (Splendor in the Fall \o/!!!) and on top of that they all work together so well.
JOYJOYJOY

Date: 2009-06-11 02:15 pm (UTC)Oh man! It's finally came together. \o/ Man, I remember way back when I was contemplating how this was all going to work ... I honestly didn't think I'd go back to it.
Hee! Splendor in the Fall!
Thanks darlin'

Date: 2009-06-11 01:45 pm (UTC)Once again another impressive effort. As I commented on YT, I think the "Bad Bros II" editing was beyond amazing. The explosions and shotgun blasts were timed perfectly.
I also loved the Supernatural Waltz.
Thank you for taking the time to make these and share them!

Date: 2009-06-11 01:45 pm (UTC)Ok, *coughs* Seriously, whaaaaat? oO You people keep killing me the whole day with your awesome stuff....
I don't even know where to start. Maybe that this video is the most freaking original I've ever seen? Yeah, I think that'd be it...
The Good, the bad and the evil - woah, you actually created the western sense! Totally loved it, though I'm not a fan of this genre. But everything - music, colors, clip choice - was so well chosen for this part!
Slice - duuuuude....favoite part! I loved the music, and I think it was so perfect for this part. I really imagined that if SPN was somekind of a thriller show, you would make an amazing promo for it. I LOVED the spinning zoom, great idea for this part.
This gun for hire - Bela is awesome here. And you totally maniped the scene! I believed in every second. So stylidh ^_^
Bad bros II - oO Okay, THAT was the action-est video I've ever seen. Well, not a video, but a part of a video, but anyway....All the clips you chose for this part were soooooo...yay!
Splendor in the fall - okay, I was grinning through this whole part cause it remind me of Brokeback mountain somehow, and after such an action part it was very...different :P But I liked it, it was in the drama style, and I like your work with colors, so bright and contrast.
Running scared - ahahahahahaahha I freaking LOVED this part! \o/ You win for life ;)
3:44 - I seriously started laughing my ass of at this moment, oh Dean...
3:46 - muhawhawhawhaw *dropped dead from laugh* OMG, that's my favorite moment, when this thing drops on Dean (311 ep).
I have to say that this seriously something, you amaze me each time you post something new, but this.....♥ I'm gonna download and keep forever \o/

Date: 2009-06-12 09:36 am (UTC)I'm so glad you liked "Slice" - I had a couple of attempts at that one - I ended up having to chop up the music a bit to speed things up a bit at the end. And Whee! for the spinning zoom - never done that before! :D
Thanks so much for ALL your awesome comments. It means such a lot to me hun.

Date: 2009-06-11 02:29 pm (UTC)Loved the whole thing, but the two sections that caught my attention the most were:
"Bad Bros II": the timing of the action with the music was so perfect! If I didn't know better I'd think it was a trailer for an actual movie.
"Splendor in the Fall": I was grinning like the Cheshire cat all the way through that one! LOL! The way it was edited it can be taken one of two ways: a quintessential best-friend-chick-flick movie, a' la "Beaches", or slashy like (as someone else mentioned) "Brokeback Mountain." *grins*
Glad I was able to give you the jump start for this vid. Now, of course, like all good movies there must be a sequel! ;^D

Date: 2009-06-12 09:50 am (UTC)So glad you enjoyed Bad Bros - editing that was such a lot of fun - I find it so much easier to work with strong beats than the softer lyrical ones.
That said, Splendor in the Fall was the hardest one. I had 6 versions of that before we (my beta and I) settled on the final one - and even then it had some more tweaks!
a quintessential best-friend-chick-flick movie, a' la "Beaches", or slashy like (as someone else mentioned) "Brokeback Mountain."
YAY! Just what I was aiming for.... BM was in some ways my inspiration, but I didn't want it to be tooooo slashy (just a hint!).
And a sequel???!!!! Holy moly..... *gulps*
Thanks again.

Date: 2009-06-12 09:57 am (UTC)And I felt I needed to end with a bit of silliness. It fascinates me that a TV show can be so blood thirsty one minute and full of slapstick moments the next....
Thanks so much for watching. :D

Date: 2009-06-11 02:59 pm (UTC)The last two 'movies' were by far my favourite, I was pratically laughing so much I had tears in my eyes...
The soundtrack is from that Brad Pitt movie right? I can't remember the name of the movie, 'the fall'? That was ridicolously romantic, and SO perfect. I mean, the Wincest is really that obvious :P
The ending though was the BEST.
In brief: SO MUCH LOVE.
ETA: I just noticed I start the line with 'the' THREE times here, why do I always do that? Seriously.

Date: 2009-06-12 10:01 am (UTC)It's so weird .... when I was making the drama one (which took for freakin' ever!) it was all so serious etc. and then when I put it with the rest, it made me giggle.
The music is from Legend of the Fall. Originally I had the music from Pearl Harbour but it made it very cheesy.
Anyway .... (sorry, I could talk vidding forever!) thanks so much for watching and commenting. It means a lot to me. :D

Date: 2009-06-11 03:09 pm (UTC)That was awesome. I loved the slapstick one and the angsty romance one actually got me a little worked up too. Bela in a noir film is inspired, it was all fabulous.
The movie posters were just amazing too.
Big thanks to everyone who had a hand in.
