Attention vidders

For those of you who were around during the SVS (Supernatural Video Station) days you'll know that a new site was founded when that closed down. The ETV (Expanding the Verse) site has sadly announced that it will be closing its doors soon also.

As a farewell another Great Vidding Experiment has been announced. This involves a group of vidders creating a multi-fandom vid to a song that is voted on by the vidders. It's tremendous fun and usually means only vidding about 30secs of footage.

If you'd like to be involved you can sign up here. The theme is currently being voted on here.

If you think it's something you'd like to be part of but have some questions please feel free to ask. The lovely starrylizard is the mastermind and organiser and I'm sure she won't mind questions either. ;)

They are always such a fun fandom activity. None of us see what the other vidder has done until the vid is posted - then we all get to celebrate each others work. :)

Looks like the theme is "working together" so should be a feel good, fun vid when it's complete. :))

Oh that's sad. It's like a definite end of an era or something. I remember SVS and how much fun it was. It was an amazing experience. I remember when ETV only started, sadly I wasn't that big a part of it, but still. It's a shame that those two sites/forums closed :(

Yeah. I remember being very sad when SVS closed (still think it's a shame they closed it down completely and didn't let it stay open for archiving sake). ETV is a beautiful site - they did a great job with it. I wasn't involved that much over their either (the changing face of vidding for me and other available sites to post etc). But I loved the time we had at SVS. We were all starting out as I recall...
