Classic SPN

I'm needing something to cheer me up and this might do it.

I've been thinking about an idea I have for a vid for the 200th episode (or, idk, just a celebration of some sort) and I've been listing all those "classic" spn moments. "Saving people, hunting things, the family business", that kind of thing. I started doing some searching for ones I may have forgotten and then figured that YOU guys may be my best resource for recalling those quintessential, classic SPN moments. Not just dialogue, but visuals or memorable scenes. And not just Sam and Dean. I'd like to include a range of fave OCs too.

Some recent moments would be good too (though, I know that's harder because it's the passing of time that tends to make something a "classic"). For me I think "Don't make me lick your face" will end up being a classic for me. And probably even "I'm proud of us".

Anyway, even if I don't end up making the vid remembering all the classic spn moments (or anticipating what will become classic spn) will be worth it. :)

well, I hope you`re going to make the vid. I was thinking about getting one done to celebrate episode 200, but with my computer problems (my machine is as good as dead) I don`t think I`ll get it done (in time, if at all). I have a song in mind, but, no machine to work with, no vid.

as for classic moments, "Hell House" is an ep I`d turn to. Maybe the scene when Dean finds out Sam`s glued his hand to the bottle :D

and "Shadow" (?), when we get to see John and the boys together, the first meeting.

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your computer problems! It's the worse thing. :(

I have an idea for something I'd like to try, but it will mean doing some things I haven't done before. I've been trying to teach myself After Effects so I can do some fancy text overlays, but wow - it's pretty overwhelming!

And yeah Hell House has SO many classic moments. I love that episodes. And John and his boys…<333

After Effects is a monster. I gave up on it. One, and main, reason is, my computer was unable to handle AE *duh*

I can`t wait to get the latest version of my video editor.
It includes "Boris Graffiti" (and other shiny effect tools). "Boris Graffiti" is able to perform some great text effects (all sorts of effects actually), and it looks not as overwhelming as AE.
Of course I`d use "Boris Graffiti" for my graphics, most of all.

Oh they are all great scenes. I love that we get some good visuals to work with. :)

And yeah - S6-9 is much harder to draw from. I wonder if that's because we just need some time away from them (and 5 more seasons!) to see what has become a classic (or that there's just not as many memorable moments…;/)

This project sounds like it could be good for pulling together good things from the show and putting the recent hurty stuff out of mind for a bit. Wow, there are so many wonderful moments. It's wonderful to see them all listed like this.

Yeah, it will be my own retrospective. A way to remember all the stuff that has made the show a classic. There's so much hurt, but ultimately there's a lot to celebrate too.

Oh jeez... I can never think of anything for this kind of thing. XP This probably isn't actually all that classic, but Linda and Kevin getting their possession tattoos always stuck out in S8 for me, in addition to calling back to S2 and S/D's tattoos.

Haha - no, that's making me gloomy. In fact, I think I am doing this as a distraction from the newsletter! I'm nearly done. I do it in sections so I don't go crazy. This one has been harder to be motivated because there's a lot going on. Should be done tomorrow (only got the art recs to do…;D)

And I'm not gloomy anymore. All these reminders have indeed cheered me up! :)

ack! Sam watch Dean get turned. That was the most heart wrenching moment!! A classic though for sure. Oh yes yes Rufus! And of course Jo and Ellen! I do like that moment with them all in the car.

And no need to dig - I think I remember where most of those scenes are from. I think!

This is fun and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 200 ep project from you!!

A lot of mine have already been mentioned so I'll try to avoid any repeats; Idjit's, Mom's a babe, Stone number one, S+D's faces in the last few moments of Heart, Moose and Squirrl. And I agree, I think 'I'm proud of us' will become a classic, as will Dean's black eyes.

I also adore the heart to heart in 8.14; "I see light at the end of this tunnel...And if you come with me, I can take you to it." and "...You're not a grunt, Dean. You're a genius -- when it comes to lore, to -- you're the best damn hunter I have ever seen -- better than me, better than dad. I believe in you, Dean. So, please -- please believe in me, too."

I'm not sure if this really qualifies but I think the song Carry on my Wayward Son has sort of become a classic SPN moment, especially when linked with the end of season flashback reel.

I'm sure there's a million more. But this reminds me that I need to re-watch season nine!

I love some of the fab landscape scenes featuring the Impala...
Like when they play Back in Black, or Dean arriving in Stull cemetery, or that sunset shot of them driving away in Bloodlust (I think???)
The snowy scenes in Route 666, various bridge shots, the boys cracking open the beers and Dean letting Sam fix her... You know the sort of thing!
