J2 - creating their own fanfic!

I know these pics are everywhere (as they should be!) but I had to have my own copy here.

The thing I love is how beautifully they created this mini story. There's been quite a bit of thought put into these companion pics and I love that they seem to know fandom well enough to know how to tease us with it. First Jensen's tweet - (and seriously…including "humpday" "lonely" and "Jared" in the same tweet?! *ded*), followed by Jared's with him adding "my ass" to the mix. Totally playing us - but with so much love.

The geek in me adores the comparison between the image that can be created for the screen (lonely Jensen) and the reality of behind the scenes (all that equipment!). Another "love letter" to fans perhaps? I have a feeling there'll be more to come, leading up to the season opener. ;)

Oh, I didn't notice that (nor would I have understand that doing that meant that others could see it). Um…how does that work? Would Jensen have only seen it if Jared had simply "relied"? No idea about these twitter things…

HAHA! It almost feels like a prank! That first tweet made me think Jared really did have a day off (and was about to complain…"why is Sam not being used?!"). I feel like there will definitely be more to come. :D

How can my love for these two be gaining ground rather than receding after all these years? Jensen finally joining Twitter may be the best thing since sliced bread. Between Twitter and Austin, it's like J2 fanfic for real (*wink, wink, nudge, nudge*) I love that they know us so well. And this yesterday felt like they were including us in their workday. :)

I know?! There was a while there where we weren't getting this level of love. After Jensen moved out of Jared's house (and wasn't that the peek of J2 love?!), I thought we'd never get this again. Now with Jensen moving to Austin and being on Twitter it's like a resurgence. YAY! (and we have another con this weekend I think? I have no idea how they do it…)

Exactly what I've been thinking. 2008 with the derby race and the roomies was the height of J2 love. This feels like J2 love version 2.0 - the grown up version. :) Fine wine aged with time and experience.

It's a great way to use PR. I love that they know what makes us go nuts (which can sometimes be good, sometimes be bad…;D). Let's hope they keep trying to please us!
