Hun or Hon?

I know. The world could possibly end without an answer to this.

Ok, so I know hon/hun is short for honey - but I've been using "hun" because, well it's phonetic I suppose. But "hon" is probably the correct shortened version......??

You can tell I have a lot crowding my mind tonight... feel pity for me...

Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the gorgeous [livejournal.com profile] antigonesgift Hope it's wonderful hun! or... err ......hon.

PS: TWO MORE DAYS \O/. I have this kinda bouncy little butterfly feeling inside my tummy. I like it. :)

PS: Oh and "To err is human, to arr is pirate". (it's that bouncy little feeling inside that's making me posts things like that!!)

*snuggles*

I can tell you, as a Baltimore resident, where "hon" is part of the city's identity, it's "hon" like honey.

Seriously, there is something here called the Hon Festival, celebrating all that is hon-like.

This is one topic I feel like I know. ;-)

You're right, of course, about "hon" being short for "honey." But when I leived in Glen Burnie, I heard it as I describe in a post you'll have to scroll down for a little bit. Do you agree, or am I remembering wrong?
