It's an illness I tells ya!
Sep. 27th, 2009 09:01 amThe sun is glorious today (even more so because here in Perth we haven't seen it much lately) and my husband and daughter have gone to the Royal Show so I am left to my own devises... *rubs hands gleefully* Of course this means sitting in front of the computer vidding....
When it's pouring with rain I don't feel so bad about that.... but today I feel like I should be OUT THERE. But no... I can't let an opportunity like this slip by. *opens editing program*
I'm here, so pop by and say hi. What you all are up to....?
And while I'm here:
Bottom 3 all time episodes of SPN:
(I know that sounds negative, the upside of this is I only have 3 - the rest I either really like or absolutely LOVE!)
Yellow Fever
Hollywood Babylon
Free to be You and Me (*eek*, I know - but. I just couldn't. Though I did ADORE the opening montage - that goes in my Top 3 Moments!)

Date: 2009-09-27 11:17 am (UTC)And now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not sure I actually have a Bottom 3 list of episodes, it's more a Bottom 3 of moments. There were some episodes I didn't like too much because they felt rather unimaginative or a little boring to me on the whole (Magnificent Seven, Red Sky at Morning), but I don't mind those because, hey, no one expects a tv show to be perfect all the time, right?
BUT. There were definitely moments I could have very well done without:
The brothel scene (and the one leading up to it) in Free to be You an Me
Castiel calling Raphael his little bitch in Free to be You an Me
everytime someone calls Castiel Cas
I'm still fighting with myself over the crumbling of the fourth wall in The Monster at the End of this Book. I want to be cool about it and find it funny, but no luck so far :)
Generally, there were a lot more cringeworthy moments in season 4 (and now 5 as well) than seasons 1 to 3. I do think that's at least partly because I watched the first three season in one go over the course of three weeks; if I didn't like an episode too much, I just popped in the next one and quickly forgot about that. Now, there's a lot more time to think about each episode, and rewatch it right away, which does make it a different experience.

Date: 2009-09-27 01:09 pm (UTC)It's interesting isn't it? Everybody has such different views on episodes and I kinda love that and respect it completely.
For me Hollywood Babylon just annoyed me because of the way it referenced itself in the industry. Umm.... I'm not sure I can put it into words but when they mentioned Gilmore Girls it just irked me. I wasn't ready for the forth wall to come down so early in the series. I also just didn't buy the story... I enjoyed the performances (as I always do), but yeah. It just grated on me big time.
Just like the other 2 I mentioned. There are certainly moments and episodes I wasn't too fond of, but really only those episode left me cross.
everytime someone calls Castiel Cas
YES! Oh yes. Especially as Dean called him Cas really early on. I would love to have seen that develop over time as they have become more familiar... but yeah. I agree. It's something I've never liked.
And there are probably a lot more bottom "moments" then overall episodes...
But as I said. So many more would make my top episodes...:D I do love my show (even though it breaks me sometimes) and yes, not every episode can hit the mark.
