Every now and then a song comes a long that just screams J2. When I saw this song mentioned in reference to the Js I just knew I had to make a vid to it. But I wanted to do something a little different than just a J2 vid so thought about combining Sam and Dean with Jared and Jensen. I wanted to show how their off screen chemistry and camaraderie feeds into the on screen chemistry between Sam and Dean. So the idea of "happy together" is the matching of Jared and Jensen to Sam and Dean. And it's not only great seeing the Js happy in each others company, but also seeing those glimpse of when the brothers are happy being together. Even though their relationship is fraught with drama (and all the angst!), I believe that there is a sense of happiness and peace when they are truly working well and just being together.




And this probably won't be interesting to anyone, but I thought I'd screencap the con footage file I made for this vid. This represents all the footage I clipped (much I didn't end up using). There's some Sam and Dean footage here, but most of the clips I had already made and was in other files. I've become much better at naming files over the years. :)

I looked at my file once the vid was over and thought - whoa! How did I make all those?! I was working on it for quite a while, so I think it crept up on me. The hardest work is finding all the footage and then searching through it for the special little moments. :)

Caught this yesterday on Tumblr and it made me smile all day. Have grabbed it and added it to my private Vault O' Vids, and will be watching whenever I need cheering up.

That clip list is *monstrous long!* Again, I'm--no, literally--amazed at the focus and discerning eye vidders need, for the precise clip in the exact order, to the note or phrase in the song. The technical expertise alone is boggling to me, but the individual style (clip choice, mood break, clip for breathless punch) of the vidder is an art, for which I'm most grateful.

Awesome job, especially capturing some of the same gestures both in and out of character. I remember you mentioning that you were wondering if combining J2 and the show would work. A resounding yes, for sure. What is really the frosting on that particular cake is that you got Jensen at the con wearing Dean's red plaid shirt. Plus the song is perfect for them.
