Oh John. I absolutely love him as a character in the story. He provided a great set-up for Sam and Dean and explains a lot of why they are like they are. I also can't look past the fact that JDM did an amazing job with the character.

As to how I feel about him as a father. I have two opinions on him 1) he was harsh, single minded and driven to the detriment of his sons. The two moments I hated him most was when he told off Dean for the dirty impala and for him dying and telling Dean he may have to kill Sam one day. 2). He totally prepared his boys for the life ahead and helped keep them alive (whether that's really a good thing or not I'm not entirely sure…;D). I do believe he did the best he could, but I also think he was neglectful and put far too much on both of them.

I've been at 2 cons and both times I asked questions. It's actually really hard coming up with good questions.../o\. If I could ask anything I liked I'd like to ask Jared his interpretation of "Same circumstances, I wouldn't" and Jensen and Jared about how they felt about Sam's vilification by fandom on this line. I wouldn't ask that because I think it would be too controversial, but I'd love to hear their thoughts on the matter. Other than that, I'd ask about their watches. :)

62: I saw a promo on TV for the show and as soon as I heard the word "brothers" and saw the two of them I knew it would be something I HAD to watch. So I did. :)

2. I don't think John was a horrible human being like some do. I think he (thought he) did what he had to do with the situation he was dealt. I do wish he would have let Sam and Dean have a childhood (I know Dean tried to do this for Sam.).

I wonder how John would have been different as a single dad if Mary died a non-supernatural way.

2. Yeah, Dean suffer by not being allowed to have a childhood and having such a huge responsibility on his shoulders.

61. I asked Samantha Ferris about her death scene and I asked Osric (recently) about his involvement with the Parody. :)

62. Yep! Since day 1! (though it aired about 8 months after it started in the US).
