Many thanks to jalu2 for the lovely music prompt. Once I settled into this it was such a joy to make. I hope it's a little of what you were thinking for this song. :) Thanks to the lovely ladies el1ie and cassiopeia7 for their generous feedback. It's always difficult to know what a video is doing after you've watched it a gazillion times. Thanks for the thumbs up gals! Thanks also to tebtosca for keeping the spn_j2_xmas exchange going. It's such a wonderful event to participate in.

Notes

When I listened to this song all I could think about was the intimacy of the Impala and the way it carries the boys from place to place. A small narrative was running through my head when I was making this - Dean's unrequited love for Sam. Initially Sam isn't sure but by the end I've left the suggestion that maybe, just maybe, he is. But, if you don't want to view it like that it could easily be just the two of them growing comfortably older together. This also gave me a chance to use some of the gorgeous cinematography Supernatural often spoils us with.

Aw this is wonderful! Pretty of course, the boys, the landscapes, but also deeply touching. I like the contrast between the wide open space outside and, as you say, the intimacy inside the car. Just lovely.

I loved the shot in the beginning, of the steering wheel with the rainbow colour light slowly flooding over it. It felt so meaningful, symbolizing their lifes on the road (in the car) together. :)

This is lovely--all those gorgeous shots of the car, and the road, and the intimacy of the car's interior. There's such a rich layered history between these men, and the car is the keeper of so much of it, and that includes the familiarity and fondness between them. What a lovely holiday gift!
